Lost your EIS and keys? Here is how you can get another EIS and key programed without the dealership

This customer lost their EIS and key when sending it out to a company to program an ESL emulator for them.
I program a used EIS using the original ECM of my customer's Mercedes 2010 C300. The only issue is, we don't have the SSID from the original EIS or key available since both were lost in a transaction with another company that was supposed to program an ESL emulator for my customer.
Without the SSID, the instrument cluster will not sync with the EIS. The mileage on the cluster will read 000000 until we can get the SSID and program it into the EIS.

Hi love your video. Quick question please. Would VVDI MB not able to read ECM, original FBS data and coding?? Or Is it just with Abrites?? Thank you.

VVDI can read an ECM but it cannot write ECM FBS data to an EIS.

Thanks for that, good to know. I guess you use Abrites to write FBS key track and SSID onto EIS. I have been looking to buy Abrites for a while now, but find it a bit expensive for what they offer. Do you know any other machine that can write FBS security data, key track and SSID onto EIS.

Did you use the password of the donor eis?

Yes. You can use any password as long as you use the same one for the key and esl if it has one.

Can you use any key password when personalizing the Eis? Or does it have to be the key password obtained? Read the comment below this one. You can use any password as long as you match it to the key. Cool

Yes you can use any key password if you can't get the original key password. However, you have to use the original SSID or the mileage on the cluster will show 000000. You can get the original SSID from an original key if available. Or the cluster... but it takes more work to get it from the cluster.
