Really gives off that feeling of “just one more” you’re very nearly at the end of your travels, here in the end where a long lost friend is even joining in on the fight. Yet even still despite everything, you know it won’t be easy. This place isn’t welcoming, this place doesn’t like YOU specifically. This was all a test, and now the test subjects are attempting to escape, trying to fight back. In a way it reminds me of Portal’s ending, but whereas that was somber and defiant, this is triumphant and DETERMINED. No matter what happens, the gang will see it through, this is where everything ends, whether anyone would prefer it that way or not. Even Sans can’t help but try his best, he can’t afford not to care anymore. But this time it’s by his own choosing, we aren’t forcing him to act due to our actions, nor our choices, because just like him, we don’t get to choose in this mess. We’re working at the whims of someone YOU haven’t met yet, but perhaps some of them have.

Okay, I feel the need to rant about this track. BY GOD I love the design in this. The use of the original core motifs plus added depth from the ANOTHER HIM sound fonts makes this piece all the more impressive, and emphasises how deadly the area is. The lack of a few parts of the CORE regular track loop (at least in the beginning segments) really make it feel like a “LOST” CORE, and help it to stand out separately from the regular core we see in-game. Overall, the music in this feels so much like a grand finale, and I love it. Also, we can see the art in this telling us a lot. For one, we’ve successfully scared our funny bone man into pulling a blaster. This either makes me think that we could end up fighting him, or that he will officially be helping us, whether as a party member or not. Also, seeing the trio of Kris, Susie and Noelle all very emotional in their own separate ways really makes this feel like a FINALE. No more running away, this is it for the team. No matter the route, this is where it all ends. No matter what, I absolutely love this track WAY more than the original piece in hard mode, and the whole team should be so proud of themselves for creating this entire OST. Keep up the good work! TL;DR: You guys are absolutely insane. Bravo, Lex3x for the track, and bravo Sarah for creating the set piece to allow this track to come to fruition.

Okay, I just had the most random idea. I don't expect it to happen, but I'll shoot anyways. I was just recently playing Super Paper Mario, and I made an attempt at the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials (I didn't succeed, but that's besides that point). If you've seen the Flopside Pit, then you know that every enemy in the pit is a "dark" varient of the game's enemies, which just means that they are literally siloughette's of the enemies. I am wondering if maybe we'd see something like that in the Lost Core, we have to face stronger versions of the enemies that we've fought earlier in the game, but are feutareless copies. I'd imagine the silloughets would need to be white or grey, since you'd probably couldn't see black against the expected background. Well, it would probably be a better idea if the enemies were "Goner" versions, similar to the vessel, a gray recolor, but with no face. The same idea still applies, though.
