Other than try to replace Ash, he just was an insert for Pokémon GO. Literally, the dudes name could not have made it more obvious. Chloe was a more compelling character, and she hardly got screentime. Neither Goh nor Chloe had satisfying conclusions.

Clodsire IS competitive, Noble! It‘s a fantastic special wall, able to stop setup sweepers thanks to its Hidden Ability Unaware, can throw all the hazards at the opponent, and has been consistently in the OU tier since introduction. Even sees some play in Ubers where most Legendaries reside.
