In her defense..... Togepi chose her. Lets view it from this perspective: Ash filled the Egg with Love and cared for it and after it hatched, he noticed Togepis Wish to be with Misty. So she received something that he poured his Love and Attention into. ;D

Honestly, I think she's the worst 'main' character in the first two seasons. She's as bratty and let's face it, also as dumb, as a rookie Ash is. She however doesn't have the excuse of being the kid of a single mom in a small out of the way village, but is an actual Gym Leader.

If Togepi would be unhappy with her, it would make that VERY clear.... that little Pokémon can be a menace XD Can you imagine Ash to walk around with Togepi for Years? With everything and Team rocket that always happened? The Risk would be to high that Togepi gets seriously injured. The early Seasons were so much Fun xD Single Child Ash and youngest Child Misty, as they CONSTANTLY mocked and insulted each other XD Dont forget that she is the Gymleader, because her 3 older Sisters didnt want that Position. It wasnt part of their Life Plans to stay in the City so they forced Misty to become the Gym Leader. Thats a good excuse for being a brat^^ Btw. the Reason why iam pro AshxMisty if its about Shipping. They had the best Energy together XD Their Team Rocket Cosplay to mock Jessy and James was GOLD^^ None of the other Girls would have been able to handle early Season Ash..... with exception of Iris maybe.

@@JackRook Honestly, I'm not sure about the group dynamics from Black/White onwards, because I couldn't stand how they turned Ash from promising champion-to-be in Sinnoh that was only stopped by a guy with 2 legendary pokemon, into a bigger idiot than he was at the start of season 1, so I dropped the show. I do think it was nice that Brock found himself a new calling, though that too was very rushed at the end of the season, instead of at least giving clues through all of Sinnoh.
