The funny thing is, HSR's Bronya and Seele are alternate universe versions of Honkai3's Bronya and Seele. They are *not the same people* so assuming that they would even have the same relationship with HI3 is too early. It's like saying that HSR Himeko is the same with HI3 Himeko and that HSR Himeko has the same mentor relationship with HSR Bronya which is not the case at all. Of course Hoyo might go with the Bronya x Seele ship in HSR as well but so far there's no hint of that yet. Friendship yes, but nothing yet indicating that type of relationship. We'll just see how Hoyo would proceed with it in the story.

To be honest, the Bronya x Seele thing in Honkai Impact was a community joke that got memed into existence. But that in itself is the issue. There’s so many Honkai Impact fans (myself included) that have ventured over to Honkai Star Rail, a game where the Bronya x Seele relationship _isn’t_ a thing, but we’re all so used to it actually _being_ a thing. Basically, Honkai Impact players aren’t used to the idea that Bronya x Seele isn’t canon in HSR, so seeing art that goes against Bronya x Seele kinda triggers a “oh god its NTR” response. We’re so _used_ to those two being considered lovers…that anything implying that Bronya and Seele (including alternate reality / bubble universe versions) _aren’t_ lovers just seems _wrong_

My biggest problem with SR is that half of the cast are just clones of I3 characters, which is not only a waste because the original characters made for this game are almost all winners so it makes me thing of what could've been done with a fully original cast, but is also a problem because now people who are attached to the I3 versions of these characters are expecting them to have the exact same relationships and developments which is something Hoyo will most likely do and that makes it having AU versions of characters feel even more meaningless because they won't even try to do radical changes to make it fun

@@kiss-shot_is_bae In the main story, the characters are lesbians. However, in events the Captain (the personification for the player) exists, but they don't in the story. In these events when the Captain exists, normally the characters will also love the Captain hence bisexual. Previously, there were birthday events with CGs instead of letters like Genshin (at least we get to hear the characters reading them, but that may not last too long) that put the birthday character and the Captain in a very close relationship (I know that doesn't necessarily mean love, but whatever). Three that come to mind are ones for Kiana (a date), one for Bronya (she ends up pushing the captain down) and one for Rita (also a date). There was also a valentines day event with all the girls at the time giving chocolates. Most of these can be found on KZbin.

HI3 takes place in a multiverse, with the implication of the events being that they are the story of the captain traveling the multiverse. In fact, every character that you use in game is a multiverse counterpart to the characters in the story. Beyond all of that, though we like to meme about it with Honkai, not every character is a lesbian in Hoyoverse games. There are many characters who are implied to either be straight or straight leaning. And before you try to make an argument for them clearly obsessing over lesbians because they only imply straight characters, most of the lesbian ones are only implied as well. The notable exceptions, towards confirmed, being Kiana (who is openly lesbian), Mei (who only really seems to be in love with Kiana), Bronya (who only seems to be in love with Seele), Seele (who only seems to be in love with Bronya), and Yae Sakura (whom was in love with Kallen). Everyone else is implied, with the most blatant being Elysia, whom I'm pretty certain was actually pan, and genuinely in love with pretty much everyone that she was close with.
