this is the first time that red john goes after lisbon to threaten jane. it's done subtly, through a red herring, but it was actually just as crucial for rj as the second time. this proved that jane would die to save lisbon, and also the part when he did the ruse of almost confessing to her would have been gold to rj if the bomber would have survived to give it to him. i think jane saying that was his subconscious knowing what was going on before his conscious self knew it.

Earlier Lisbon said she would not follow the bomber’s orders. She was willing to die and not risk the rest of CBI team. Jane immediately cuts her off and says they will do whatever the bomber wants. He is so freaked out at the thought of Lisbon dying. He could have said other things to distract the bomber. They could have been at the wrong door, or if they opened the right door, the bomber might have freaked out and pressed the trigger. There were many ways it could have gone, so I think this is another case of Jane thinking this could very well go badly, and he was legitimately trying to tell her how he felt. He didn’t want to leave her. If the bomb had exploded, he would have died with her and never gotten his revenge. So again, he was willing to risk not getting revenge in favor of helping Lisbon.

Writers took all details Here he Said "i don't fear to die...I fear to suffer..." For that reason he did't leave Lisbón, he prefered to die and don't revange RJ and all that stuff. But he changed the story and later Said that he didn't leave her because his ego and vanity (false) In the last season when Vega died, he said again these lines "i couldn't to live if You die, I can't love that again... If I die , I don't care, i don't suffer, but if You die ..." Finally he said what he feels, his pain and love wirhout a joke or humor, without mask. His fear was to love a Lost everything again. The finale was perfect in that aspect, because he is happy, love again and with peace and when he found that finally got all the happiness, included a wife and Child with his Best friend...

There are little things we can use to fabricate our own reasoning. I did so and I assumed as I have mentioned in my argument. Okay, I'm just gonna say this: I am the biggest shipper of them all (Jisbon); and while I wish that Jane told her he loves her or kissed her, that is unrealistic. That would never happen. I have a disparate POV with u on this. From my real-life experience alone (based on what happened to me & the people around me at least), there's no such thing as "just sex" or "Sex is nothing". But the thing is, at least from my own experience & viewpoint, it is easier to relate sexual activity with love than simply caring with love. Well, I think Jane's guilt outweighs his love for Angela & Charlotte. This, I believe, is obvious from the fact he is willing to throw his life away if it means Red John is gone. She felt way more than that by the end of season 1. She almost cried as she begged Jane to realize that there were people that cared about (loved) him. She loved him by then. When Jane told her "Bosco loves you, how could he not?" implying Jane also loved her, she looked up in surprise but in a pleasant way, like her feelings were being replicated. I agree Jane & Lisbon are good for one another (though I prefer Jerica :P), but I think at this point of the series, calling them "in love with one another" is a stretch. When Jane lost his memory, he asked Lisbon if they were working towards sleeping together and she didn't deny it and then grabbed her butt, and season 5 started with Barlow telling Lisbon she's a little bit in love with Jane and ended with Lorelei telling Jane he's a little bit in love with LIsbon. And of course under belladonna Jane's daughter Charlotte (his subconscious) was the biggest Jisbon shipper until Abbott, who called Jisbon "boyfriend/girlfriend" from the beginning. Not to mention the emerald necklace and earrings, the dresses, the pony, etc Sharing ice cream out of the same glass on a rooftop, when was the last time you did that? It sounds harsh but I've been in at least a dozen long discussions on various sites with people who don't see Jisbon from the beginning and in every case it turns out they just don't understand half the show.

But they are attracted to each other. I think, regardless of their background, fact is they both have killed and probably will kill again when the time calls for it. I think Jane likes Erica because of the emotional challenge she provides and Erica likes Jane because he's the only man she couldn't have despite her obvious advantages (like looks). I personally am a bigger fan of Jerica than Jisbon. :P
