George McCrae's wife was GWEN McCrae, who hit with "Rockin' Chair". Carmen McRae was married to British bandleader Johnny Dankworth.

"Come See About Me" and "Love Is Like An Itchin' In My Heart." I love anything Supremes (even though this 45 is a Yesteryear label).❤️

Watched some of your video, and decided to give Craigslist a look. Been a while searching ANYTHING Craigslist, and to my surprise, a local dude selling 45s! Picked up some sweet items. Watson Mishoe, 5 Willows, Billy Ward and Dominoes EP, and some 20 dollar garage and northern soul items on off-beat and small labels. Thanks for the inspiration. P.S. A Silhouettes on Ember that is actually worth money, as well. "Voodoo Eyes" & "Bing Bong". Very cool.

That's awesome! Craigslist is still a great place to look. There's still lots of folks who don't have Facebook and have never heard of OfferUp.

The Wilson Pickett song was "Funky Broadway"...you'll discover that there were a LOT of soul dance songs around that time that were Broadway-themed..."Broadway Freeze", "Broadway Walk", "Broadway Ain't Funky No More" come to mind. And Pickett didn't do the song originally...Dyke & the Blazers did the original and had a minor Billboard hit with their version before Pickett's.

I bought boxes like these from an old man on eBay, and I kid you not. I caught a horrible virus today after I went through them. They had a very unusual smell to them. My warning is be careful when you buy used, Records have gloves and some alcohol ready and wear a mask, because you never know how clean the person was handling these records, I learned a hard way

Some good records there. What tips would you have for someone new to vinyl wanting to buy 45’s that I like and wanting to resell. Tips on how to advertise wanted ads and how much to pay. Thanks

Have you found any Northern soul or garage in Craiglist hauls?

I indeed have. I’ve been in the vintage scooter scene since the nineties, so I know a bit about northern soul.

This is an early video before I really got going. I love "I Buy Old Records." He's lucky that he gets to travel to interesting places to find records. I'm usually at estate sales and I can't really film there.
