@@OneTrueVikingbard l like how they did his voice in the hobbit . Sounded more alive . After all he finally got part of his strength back in that scene in the third hobbit movie . @JesusFriedChrist4 жыл бұрын
One True Vikingbard Sometimes a whispering hiss is more sinister than a deep grumble. Remember, Sauron cloaked himself in the beauty of an elf in order to teach the art of ringcraft to the peoples of middle earth, so that he might forge the One in secret to domineer over all others. If I recall the story correctly. It’s been over a decade since I read the books.

The Necromancer is not Sauron. The Eye is not Sauron. The Ring is not Sauron. They are all vestiges of his spirit. Trying to once again become the unified form of Sauron. The thing about the scouring of the Shire is that the reader should realize that, had they not gone on their adventure, none of them would have been capable of setting things straight. And the Shire itself would have been lost forever. Yes, it is tragic that all this had to happen to the Shire, especially since it's all such a petty act of revenge. But everything turned out even better than before -- Tolkien's weird way of making it up to the reader for presenting us with such a heartbreak. Kinda funny, isn't it? We can read all about the decline of Gondor, the fall of Osgiliath, the overthrow of Denthor's mind, and his abuse of poor Faramir without so much as a tear. But let evil touch the shire and we're all bawling our eyes out. There's something far more emotional about the desecration of what we love than the fall of greatness.

Everyone was saying “you can’t put Tolkien on film” and the fan base wasn’t that big as compared to Star Wars or Star Trek. You can tell almost everyone in this making is having the time of their lives and it both warms your heart and excites you to see all the love and passion everyone put into these films. For something that ‘couldn’t be put to film’, it went on to win 17 of the 30 academy award nominations and that says something on how amazing these films are.

I love the bit between Viggo and Dominic at the start where they're basically making fun of each other. It really shows how close they are that you can see them good naturely ribbing each other.

He was never got an Oscar for Gollum (which angers me to this day) but he definetly won our hearts, he is our precious!

Anthony Serkis' interpretation of Gollum is incredible. I read Lord of the Rings before I watched the films, and I when I re-read the books I heard Serkis' voice. Excellent actor.

Viggo Mortensen seems like such a soft-spoken man and I respect that. He really brought the character of Aragorn to life in a great way.
