I honestly hate it. It does seem really shitty at the point where it's taken, the whole deck cost is 1 lol why fuck with it. It's pretty good of course if you have an expensive deck.

@@neogauntlet1008 or if you have lots of card draw. People REALLY underestimate card draw as a means to make Sneko work well with a low cost deck

@@DocRobotnik this. Snecko scales like crazy with card draw. Even if the average card cost of your hand is higher you often get to play more cards. I advise anyone who dabbles with programming and doesn't have an intuitive handle on the math involved to make a simple snecko simulator and watch how things change with just a bit of extra draw. It's kinda crazy! I don't pick it that much because I lean so much into infinites, but I do like myself a snecko run.

@@neogauntlet1008 backflip + acro + gamble is enough to justify snecko eye imo, not an easy choice to make for sure but way better than the other two options which were almost unpickable. card draw is a premium when you have snecko, even without the big value cards it will last you until you can get them

aww damn. could have had the legendary white beast, potion belt, alchemize, & sacred bark run. Not that you need that crutch at this point, but it's always super fun :) Those are honestly some of my favorite runs cause it really changes up how you play (and makes it all too easy with the right deck).

I wouldnt call it a bug. I think its just due to you still being in that encounter even if the battle is over. When you go to the next room your powers get reset.

Is there ever a time when you could conceivably skip out on boss relics (especially act 1)? The choice of relics offered after The Guardian fight had too much anti synergy to decent relics you had already picked up, and with the shovel you had the opportunity to get more. Snecko was the best of the bunch but seeing as you didn't have any high cost cards anyway (and knowing my own atrocious luck with RNG) I probably would have skipped the relics altogether, as I wouldn't have the faith I'd even reach a point where more expensive cards would benefit from it.

There is a lot of thought that goes into mitigating the downside of Snecko outside of combats such as focusing higher cost and X cost cards, as well as how you deal with energy (tactician and the sneaky strike were both extremely good takes). Plus there are several turns throughout the run where many cards were 1 cost and judgment was still heavily required to win the fight. Additionally, Sozu and Choker were both absolutely not pickable in this deck so he really didn't have any other choice.

@@lemlem35 Yep. I agree with OP that snecko is kind of boring after some runs with it, but it was the only boss relic that even had a chance at winning the game. The other option was skipping which i definitely thought he would do considering the number of low cost cards in his deck, but seeing him play snecko eye, it worked out quite well in the end
