As a European, I find it extremely surprising to measure the driver's window tint AFTER finding a pistol, an AR, narcotics, a (fake? police?) uniform etc...
@RentonFree4 ай бұрын
A pistol and AR-15 is completely legal in most US states as long as someone has a concealed weapon license. Some states even allow you to own/have a pistol concealed carry without a license. An AR-15 is not allowed to be concealed carried, unless it is classified as a pistol (under 16 inches without a stock, we have dumb laws). Handcuffs are legal, uniforms may or may not be. I think it depends on the jurisdiction and whether the person was attempting to pretend to be a police officer. The narcotics are not. The reason they checked it was to make sure they had a valid reason to pull the car over. If the tint had been say 70% (allowing 70% light through), the officers could've been in trouble for an illegal stop. If the stop was deemed illegal all charges would have to be dropped due to illegal search/seizure. Personally, I think the 50% tint law is BS and is only in existence to give police officers a reason to pull people over. His tint being at 41% makes it fairly easy to see inside the car (although the video does make them seem much darker). For an idea of how dark his windows are lookup "New 40% window tint on 2013 ford fusion" on KZbin. I can't link sources here, but many car manufactures install privacy glass from the factory at an even lower VLT (Visible Light Transmission) say 20-25%. I think tint laws should allow at least 30% VLT. In the south east many people will run 5-10%, I would see that as a concern if I was a police officer. Not 41%.... Anyways, just some insight and ideas! Do they allow tint in the part of Europe you're from?

Whoever produces the video, once you recorded the voice for the video, apply a highpass filter to it at around 80Hz. There are a lot of 'pop' sounds that you guys may not be hearing due to small sized speakers. In a full spectrum sound system they just create a lot of rumbly noises.

@exshenanigan2333 Жыл бұрын
@@tstivers1990 recording with a microphone means you're basically vibrating a membrane with pressure, when you're very close to a microphone certain sounds create air pressure that vibrates the membrane at very low frequencies. The biggest offender is P, in order to make a P sound you need to exhale a substantial amount of air. That air hits the membrane of the mic creating these low frequencies rumbles. Just like a windy weather recording having a lot of rumble sounds. People like to record very close to the mic because due to proximity effect their voice sound thicker with more body to it but without a pop filter which (essentially blocks the air pressure to hit the membrane), result is a rumbly recording like this. Can be fixed with a low cut / high pass filter but it's best to take precautions to eliminate it at the source.

I get the feeling this man has a big heart and is kinda just living a life he didn’t want to live. Most people wouldn’t be so up front. It was eating at him when he was moved. Someone who didn’t care would let the cops find it on their own. The cops were all like ‘he’s going for this and this too” and making it seem like he “grabbed it” in reference to the gun. 😑 In this case he was really just showing. They knew that too because their response matched the cool nature of the stop. It’s almost as if cops WANT people to have it as hard as possible. I despise drugs….but if the drug dealer tells u where the dope is…calmly…and tells u there’s a weapon….calmly…..u don’t have to Jack up the charges. If anything they should be better with him because he’s so honest and up front. This is how a citizen should behave when caught. These cops were lucky he was a good man in his heart. Sigh. I love how the cop points the firearm towards oncoming traffic when clearing it 💀
@hazel-vf7on9 ай бұрын
You could probably argue that it was at an angle enough to pass, since he had his finger off the trigger while he had it pointed at the bonnet. Had it gone off due to negligent discharge, the round would have either bounced off of the bonnet and flown off into the sky, or penetrated the bonnet. The guarantee of either option hurling the round towards oncoming traffic is rather slim. I would consider the fact that the chambered round was already clear of the barrel by the time that the black car shows up after the first two white cars. At that point, there was no longer any clear danger from a round going off. It's also unclear, but I would guess that he still had the firearm pointed downwards enough by the time the first two white cars passed. He only seemed to angle it horizontally after they had passed.

last time I checked an officer cannot just reach into your car and grab a bag to search through it, while some states do require you to notify the officer if you are armed it is not probable cause to search the vehicle. Any evidence used as probable cause in that bag should be inadmissible in court. As for the case of removing the firearm from the car via searching the bag from the car, that seems like a gray area.
@markstone1619 Жыл бұрын
You don't have the exact same view of the officer's vantage point (neither does the body cam), so if he saw anything (such as the white-top jar looking object with something inside it) just by the bag being partially to fully open, then his removal and search of the bag would be very legal. It's the IN PLAIN VIEW portion of the laws pertaining to search.
@theophulus Жыл бұрын
No, although the bag was in plain sight. They asked if he had any weapons in which he complied and said yes. That bag was completely zipped up. The driver never gave consent to remove the bag and search it. Which gives u a reason as to why he was so calm. A good lawyer will have these charges dismissed and the driver knows it.
@coolsnake1134 Жыл бұрын
The only reason I could see these officers searching the bag and then the rest of the vehicle is because the driver admitted to having a firearm and when they asked him where it was he probably gave them the fact that it was in the bag either by telling it to them or reaching towards the bag, and when they went to secure the weapon they probably saw the drugs and even if marijuana is legal for recreational or medical use in your state under federal law it is still illegal to have marijuana and possess a firearm

About the window tint being 41% whereas legal is 50%, that’s visually imperceptible from outside. Especially when it’s day light with a clear windshield letting in lots of light into the front of the cabin. Factory clear glass hovers around 75%. When you apply a light tint of 50%, it will drop to the mid 40% level because you’re adding them together. If you’ve ever seen light tint, you know it’s almost clear looking. In fact, it’s so light that most people tint their front doors with a medium 35%.
