One thing I have noticed in other videos and this is how you explain possible issues and problems that others may face even if you do not face them. A true teacher! Hope your rebuild goes well and I can't wait to see the end product!

what i like about you. your clear english very good for us who are not english speaking by born, again the type of camera you are using very very good , third by showing every everystep in anything. i knew you first from those videos of mf 65. and i had a tractor home which was having a bad top gasket. and after whatching your video of mf35 i god the guts to go make it myself. from then i follow on you. none of your video i miss. but remember i asked you to make us video on where to find a wiring diagram for a car and how to use it. especially for engine

Hi Flemish , i am sure you have see this days that cars have changed to too much electrical/ electronics. just think of a simple injector with two wires. it is difficult to know which wire is +ve and which is -ve. i fear just to put voltmeter on something which i dont know which is which. again lets just talk of spark plug. remember we use to have a distributor and high voltage cables they are no longer there. so again i become stuck. like my car has something on top of my spark plug . four wires are coming to it. so i just dont know where do they come from. are there fuses in between or not? so i think if i had a wiring diagram, it would have been a bit easy for me to see. let me give a pracrtical example here : i had a car on my yard for my friend. he said he was driving that car (ford figo 2016) and it just died on the way. the engine just cranks but no start. i attended to it and find that there is no diesel coming to the engine. i then checked on fuse and relays and find them all right. i then went to the pump itself and gave it direct 12v. and it worked. so i thought there is open circuit since there is no other thing between fuses and pump. so weeks later someone came and attended to that car .all out of the sudden the car started. i asked what he did he said it was just a tripped inertia switch. which it was for the first time i heard about. so , i think if i had i wiring diagram for that car .i would have seen that there is anothere thing between pump.and fuse. and you know it must not just be a wiring diagram it must be specifically for that car. so, where do we get them maybe by vin nu. and how to read it?

Recently saw your ivy cleaning video that was posted to reddit, just wanted to say that you should keep it up! You make some very interesting videos.

You can also knock the driveshafts out with a cold chisel between the gearbox/driveshaft seal face and driveshaft, just make sure you don't damage the faces. No need to buy a gearbox wrench as it's just a 3/8inch drive from a socket wrench. Finally I just managed to draw out both driveshafts without removing the either of the ball joint nuts, just remove the toe link nut and pivot the hub.

Great video thanks, I prefer to use copper coat as WD40 tends to dry out. Centre nut torque is way higher as I had to buy a bigger torque wrench!

How did you get the driveshaft into the gearbox? Did you just push it in? Did you hammer it in? How do you know the circular clip remained in place? Did you have to somehow squeeze the clip while guiding the shaft in? I know so many questions. I am going to be doing this in a few weeks. I would appreciate any advice you would have. Thanks you. And thank you for video series on the Elise. It has been super helpful.

You will just need to push it in with kick, that goes very easy... getting the old one out is a bit more difficult, But if you use the method with the clamp it works .

Hi Steve, attention! You mentioned a torque of 45 Nm for the central drive shaft nut. That's dangerous! Please doublecheck - it should be at 220 Nm. BTW: Thank you for your phantastic videos! In which country do you live?
