Nothing wrong with the V6 Auto when I test drove it - gearchanges were slick. I have an Audi S5 DSG - wouldn't say the torque converter in the Lotus was remotely laggy. Fine car...

I have the V6 auto. It is such a lovely car to dtive. Best vhoice ever. I sold my manual Aston Martin for this. No regrets I love my Emira a far better car.

@@quavohuncho6156 it does have a 6-speed automatic or manual transmission. While the i4 only comes as an auto. Just that more people prefer and buy the v6 in manual. Although mine is a v6 and will be coming as the 6-speed auto

@@quavohuncho6156 yep thats correct, but the downshift was unnecessary and can very easily cause unexpected imbalance or wheelspeen through corners.

@waltersobchak1719 absolutely not a better driving experience with a slushbox automatic. When you want to drive spirited like this video, complete control over the transmission is ideal; there's really no better feeling than a perfect heel-toe downshift.

@waltersobchak1719 The purpose of this car is for spirited driving and overall driving enjoyment. A slushbox automatic like this with an horrible delay off the line dampens what the car was intended for. I heel-toe all the time, as do other drivers who enjoy full engagement with a vehicle. Ferrari, McLaren and Lamborghini make automatics because they are faster and they have to compete -- that does not make them more enjoyable to drive in the way they were intended. Those cars at least have proper automatics though -- If you want this car in an automatic, the I4 is the only choice as it has a dual-clutch. The transmission in the V6 is garbage. Ask yourself why manual exotics demand premiums over their automatic counterparts. To each their own.
