Lotus are finally are going to have that Halo car that will bring them brand recognition. Its a beautiful but at the same time a very divisive design that will get people talking. On a final note, Geely are clearly putting Lotus back on the right track with their marketing efforts. I've never seen so much Lotus content than I have in the last few months.

@@joshuasterling2144 I think Geely have a big task getting Lotus back to being successful and as an owner they have many areas that need to be improved especially just to keep their existing customer base happy and returning for more of their products. Either way, so far, so good from what I'm seeing.

Car looks amazing... but come on Lotus build some cars for the actual road. Update the Elise / Exige so people in North America can buy 1. Who cares about hyper cars that nobody will ever drive. Yes engineering also counts, and making a "2000HP" car that has the same acceleration as a 5400lb tesla model X reflects quite poorly on the people who built it.

@@bluerainbow956 one of teslas selling points is its ability to corner so well with a Higher wheight class, also using GOV data. Teslas are much less likely to catch fire then a gas car because they are built for safety.

Wow! I mean; dear God, Wow! It is not often that one car can look so good from all angles. Nice touch, Lotus, presenting it in a satin silver so the lights catch every beautiful curve. When you see the tunnels between the 'powerpack' and the rear wheels you can actually imagine them doing a job. The rear spoiler, doing a job, the venturi with DRS doing a job. If it really does make 2kbhp then I'd love to see this on the road. Until then; it's just another concept but no since Jag's CX75 have I so wanted that concept to be real...

Where does one start? This is not just next level, but 2 or 3 levels ahead at this point in time in terms of the electric drive train and other elements. The design is exquisite to say the least! Form and function working beautifully together from front to back, and as you both said, the back is where it builds to a crescendo finishing the sculpture perfectly! I think on one side of the coin that the car has an initial very 'now' look, compared with other super/hyper cars...but at the same time enough fresh elements to make it stand out. An electric hypercar is at this time going to be under fire from any petrol head but the reality is.... this is a future regarding next level power and Lotus has embraced this opportunity and the results visually and technically are right there, and I'm sure the driving experience will be just as thrilling. Great video Henry.

As much as I love EVs (I own one) I have to say that when it comes to hypercars, they just don't really work. They're just to heavy to be competitively viable in most track scenarios. For fun driver's cars and all around experience? Great! For a 1.7 mill hypercar? ICE cars have a clear advantage
