Yes. Indeed. Video coming soon. Just did a time trial with the car today.

goal would be to have the car running less rich
@GoodmorningGoodnight Жыл бұрын
On the 400 it will really pump up the sound of the supercharger. The motor is easily 5-10% louder.
@GoodmorningGoodnight Жыл бұрын
@@helmernachbaur5880 Lotus has the car tuned to run rich. I don't know if anything short of a reflagged ECU will help that.

@@GoodmorningGoodnight yeah, i got to put a bigger flow intake and then have the ECU map redone to smooth it out. But at least i've the replacement of intake covered now

Just an FYI... my bagged hose was zip tied to a wire harness underneath the airbox. No idea if the factory did that or not but I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't come out. Also per the BOE instructions that intake hose is supposed to be wrapped around the intake inlet instead of inserted into it.
@GoodmorningGoodnight9 ай бұрын
Yes you're right. I removed that zip tie in an earlier video. And I forgot to mention it in this video. I had removed it previously to gain access to the shifter cables. Good FYI. I do remember struggling quite a bit with that bag until I eventually found it the first time!

@@GoodmorningGoodnight Your video really helped me. I felt a difference today when I drove it. I was in third and put my foot into and it was a noticeable change over the stock box. I already have the plack as well and they seem to compliment each other. I am getting a resonance in the cabin at around 4200 RPM's or so but it is what it is.
@GoodmorningGoodnight9 ай бұрын
@@Themiddleagedkid excellent. I agree there is a small but noticable difference. With the Plack exhaust you learn to live with some resonance. It's part of its charm " ? "

Hello. Did you ever do a before and after video after installing the new air intake? Thank you.
@GoodmorningGoodnight13 күн бұрын
@@gymwearuk I never did a formal after video. I need to get that done. I did run the after at the national autocross in New Jersey. I've got to get some of that video out. I'll work on that. Good reminder.

Ideally yes, sometime in the future. I'd like to do lightweight two-piece rotors to reduce rotational mass

@@super679theoriginal I’ve heard that too but I want to make sure. I only have 5,500 miles in my car after almost 10 yrs but I change the oil annually anyway almost every 600-700 miles. I know it seems like a waste but it’s an easy enough thing to do. I also do my break bleeds every other year. So I want to make sure of the same thing with the coolant.
@super679theoriginal Жыл бұрын
@@bakhteria I have had my 2010 for 4 years, got it at 13k miles and put 13k on in the first year. I change every 7k miles and send oil samples to blackstone labs for oil testing. According to their reports I have a very healthy engine. I do the breaks and clutch every other year and I swapped in dot 5.1 because of the heat issues going over 100 on the highway for extended periods. I drive like a maniac, and I can confirm this car is bulletproof. Love mine

Did you have to add the vaccum pod for the sport exhaust? Great video.
@GoodmorningGoodnight Жыл бұрын
Vacuum pod was not necessary for my car since it doesn't have the switchable exhaust.

Good morning good night my friend :) I was wondering : what exhaust do you have on the evora ?
@GoodmorningGoodnight Жыл бұрын
The loudest and lightest. There are exhausts that may have a more refined tone, but none quite as simple as this. It deletes o the third cat, and goes straight back. Plack exhaust, plackedition.com/

forgetting the weight and change in sound, how does it feel when driving? Faster throttle response? Faster car?
@GoodmorningGoodnight Жыл бұрын
The claim of an additional 20 horsepower seems unlikely. The car feels fast, but not sure that I can tell a real difference. I will say I performed very well in both the autocross and track sprint I did recently - more anecdotal evidence. I wouldn't say I feel much of anything different. But it is a bit louder, if you like that type of thing. I'll get it dynoed some time soon to see what we're up to. If it it's over 280hp I'll be happy.
