Lou, I picked up the Don Fulano blanco the other day. It's really nice! As an aside, I scored big this past week, finding a Fortaleza Blanco in a a grocery store for $60!! It was their last one. I also found a Cascahuin Plata 48, A G4 Blanco 108!!, plus a Terralta and a Pasote and a LALO. The four other major liquor stores I stopped at didn't have a single botttle of Fortaleza - or so they claimed. My wife and I are excited to add these others to our sipping collection! Thanks for this channel, brother. I envy you your Fortaleza collection. You must know some very important people up there, Lou!!!

I have the añejo and it’s tasty. It’s darker and more aged than many añejos. I think it tastes a bit like slightly over baked banana bread. Not my favorite añejo but it might be yours. Try it. The bottles are beautiful.

Another great video review. I got my first bottle of Don Fulano Repo today. Very different from other repos I’ve had but enjoyed it greatly. The cab aging is quite nice. Cheers!

I have also just tried this repo, really enjoyed it. Found the French Oak tones down the pepper notes and gives it a sweeter fruiter almost grilled pineapple taste. I'm a big fan of this one.

Great review, right now my favorites in what i can get in my area are the don fulano anejo and el tequileno gran reserva anejo. Im excited to try that imperial, sounds amazing. Thanks for the reviews you do!

Drinking the Blanco now I’d say it’s best neat or with a splash of water it’s flavor is mild and the ice harshes it and some notes are lost

That añejo is dangerous and one of my favorites! It is so tasty and easy to drink. I have the XA as well, but I haven't cracked it open yet. Great brand and I haven't found anything from 1146 I haven't liked yet.

Everybody's looking for the anejo especially. It's very hard to find, and they're making them all as fast as they can. I hear bottles are starting to show up sporadically, so hopefully soon, we'll be able to buy this delicious brand again without too many problems

The blanco is not my favorite the Repo id on my top 10 favorite and the Anejo is my favorites prefer it over Fortaleza anejo cheers Long Island Lou p.s how did he get the Anejo to that dark of a color its unreal love it .

Likely in hardly used barrels, which would give off more color. I also believe they use French Oak, which would head to that, as well as possibly aging it longer than usual

Is it just me or is this stuff very heavy on the olive brine note? Its great tequila makes a very good dirty martini but to me the olive can be a touch heavy handed

Probably too many to list. Anything in the anejo or extra anejo category will give you the sweetness. Maybe try Don Pillar, Tiera Noble, Don Abraham etc

Sorry, it took me a long long time to aquire all of these, and a lot of money. I'm not looking to sell any, plus everything I have there are special editions, there's no regular Fortaleza there

Lou you can get all these cheaper at west islip wine and liquors which is a stones throw away from argyle and barique ask for rich and Rob they’ll take care of you!!

I've done lots of stuff like that and I have lists of my favorite High proofs all over my social media. I'll be doing more blind taste test soon though. @@longislandloutequila7208 okay thanks. I just find it weird that fortaleza repo is one of your top choices. I watched a video from this channel called curiosity public where they review tequila. The fortaleza repo was last in their blind, which I find weird. Their top repo was Arette, then ocho, then el tesoro, then g4, then fortaleza. What do you think?

I think I wouldn't agree with that. To me, Fortaleza reposado is the best Reposado made, followed by Ocho Widow Jane, which are both very different from each other. Arette is good, but it's not up there at the top. I would put El Tesoro after Fortaleza and Ocho, and then I would put G4, then Arette

Question: Does anyone know if El Caballito Cerrero is still being produced? Looking at Tequila Matchmaker NOM 1114 showing not active. I realize that they are calling their product “Spirits distilled from agave” and not tequila. Thanks

At 86 (anejo) and 87 (imperial) on TMM I think select people are out of their minds that they've rated it so low. The average for both should be at least two points higher each. Reviews Sub 80 ...ridiculous!

I would agree with you, although a lot of people are saying that the brand is slipping a bit. Maybe it did a little with the XA, from years ago, but I still think it's a really good brand

Just curious if you’ve ever tasted the ArteNom 1146 and the Don Fulano Anejo (From 1146)side by side. They both get rated pretty similarly on TMM. The Don Fulano sells for a little bit more at the store where I can get both. I’ve never had either. Gun to your head,which one would you buy?

I did reviews on both, as you know, and I enjoy them both. If I had a choice, I'd go with the 1146, although it has a different look and slightly different taste then it did previously, it's still amazing, and I would prefer it for a few bucks more.

It does have a lot of pepper, and you have to be ready for that
