Dave played off wrestlers so well in the early 80s. I’ll be honest I started watching wrestling in 1986 I always remembers Captain Lou as a “good guy” manager but I don’t remember him being an active manager in the WWF when I started watching it. I knew who he was and had his action figure though lol I had no idea he was still a heel manager when Cindy came on the scene and that he had originally feuded with her and I literally have just been binge watching his old appearances from the early 80s wow what a funny guy. Sorry for the long comment but I have a quick story I met him in like 1992 at the Marriot I’m Queens by La Guardia Airport when they regularly had wrestling shows. He was signing autographs at a table. My dad was a big wrestling fan I’m the 50s and 60s and owns a really beat up old autograph book with so many old legends autographs. He had Lou Albanos autograph but that was before he was the “Captain.” My dad used to attend shows at the old Sunnyside Gardens iArena in Queens and used to meet the wrestlers before and after shows for autographs. So my dad brought that old autograph book to the Marriot and approached Lou for an autograph on the other side of the page and told him he had signed it years ago in Sunnyside. Lou was so cool and is the same way he is at his appearances. He asked my dad “what the hell happened to this book? It looks like you brought it a been through a war zone!” Haha great memory RIP Lou
