This Lou Gramm appearance took place in Thessaloniki, GREECE on October 10th 1997 on the TV SHOW "JAMMIN" of the ET3 National Chanel .The Hosts of the Show are Sotiris Vakaros & Stathis Panagiotopoulos and Lou Gramm is accompanied by Vasilis Papdopoulos on the Guitar and Backing Vocals.
Lou was in Greece at that time having a holiday with his fiancé, so this was not part of a promotional effort but just a spontaneous appearance for the Greek Fans.
The songs included on this edit are all the material that was performed that day and they are:
URGENT / WAITING FOR A GIRL LIKE YOU / HOT BLOODED / URGENT (REPRISE)
By the end of the show Lou Gramm has warmed up and delivers his well known signature vocals in a very loose and true manner.
Certainly a day to remember....

6 months after his brain surgery. He is the epitome of determination, strength, and the healing power of God!

This was 6 months after surgery that caused his Pituitary Gland Destruction during surgery that saved his life. This caused weight gain, weakness, balance disturbance and a decline in core strength that ALL Singers need to support their voice. Then Heavy Medication and medication adjustments to replace the function of his Pituitary Gland caused weight gain, black outs, and pure HELL! He is a miracle and an amazing class act! God Bless you Lou! He can no longer weight 145 lbs, not healthy for him! His voice still moves me like no other singer even at age 67! There is only ONE Lou Gramm!

Steroids are what gave him the massive weight gain. According to Lou he had trouble with his voice for about 14 to 16 mopnths after the operaion. I cant see this being 6 months after the operation

@@kevind1931 There is a video of him out not long after the surgery where he sounds like he always did. "Some time" after that is when his voice was affected. Due to medication adjustments etc? I don't know.

Watched last night. It was steroids that caused massive weight gain said by Lou. And as the Medication was adjusted that is how his voiced started coming back. I am still not sure he could do a full 2 hour concert. He looks and sounds ds better than last visit I found.

I saw Lou Gramm w Foreigner in late 97/early 98 Hampton Beach NH, after his surgery and after this performance in Greece, he was a bit heavier, his hair was long and curly again, he was on point just a little less stamina, but he was AMAZING and interracted with the crowd asking what songs we wanted to hear. I know since then he had ongoing issues w meds and difficulties singing but i rather see LOU on a bad day than the current band Foreigner now.

That is interesting to hear. It must have been heartbreaking for Lou, to feel as though he had got through the surgery and was going to get better and better, and then all the effects of the pituitary damage and massive medication hit him. Years of fight-back and he is doing so well again.

Seja como for, ele cantou super bem. Ele possui muita fibra.

I just watched a great interview Patrick Doolin did with Lou and he mentioned his diagnosis was in April of 1997, but he had a difficult time finding anyone to operate on his tumor. This is from October of the same year...his voice (and body) still appear to be in fine form, which leads me to believe this was just prior to the surgery.

So Lou had no vocal issues yet at this point? I though he started with his complications right after having the tumor removed? He does sound here like he’s having a bit of an issue almost like he’s already getting blown up on first song a bit but still has his tone and can still use his higher range. I’m guessing this was his last recorded perform sounding close to what he use to.
