Arvanites, for political and religious reasons do not identify as Albanians, but as Greeks; and rightfully so; their blood and mother tongue is Albanian, but their religion always has been Greek Orthodoxy, and with Greece's independence they identified as Greeks; there was no Albanian state in the 1800s. We are good, we love them; and we wish them well. The hope is that Arvanites serve as a bridge between Albania and Greece, instead of politics, to foster friendship and cooperation.

Γεννήθηκε στις 25 Μαρτίου 1945 στο χωριό Πετρωτό του νομού Τρικάλων. Έχει μικρασιατική καταγωγή από τη μεριά του πατέρα του, καθώς ο παππούς Κώστας Μαργαρίτης ήταν από την ευρύτερη περιοχή της Σμύρνης. Είναι γόνος φτωχής οικογένειας και έζησε δύσκολα παιδικά χρόνια με πολλές στερήσεις

This greek singer is asked in albanian to sing an Albanian song, and he knows it. If they are not native Albanians, why do greeks use this language for their most intimate traditions?
