I would love to see you using older supplies like in your stamp binders, maybe even a new series where you use mostly the old supplies…. I feel like sometimes all we see is new new new but most of us have items we’ve had for 20 years or more. I also would love a video making sentiments from stamps and dies to have on hand. Sometimes I feel like it’s overwhelming to use the things I have and want new because that’s what everyone is using. Not sure if that makes sense. I love you and your channel. Thanks for sharing your space.

I understand exactly what you mean Brenda. I also have old stuff that I love, but I see the new stuff being used - so I'm basically buying and stockpiling, not using it. I'm a lost cause 😢

OMG, GIRL!!! Bloody good thing you’re not claustrophobic!! BTW … SUGGESTION: Until you’ve filled those bins (@ o.d. 7:55) use some stiff pasteboard - like cereal boxes in the U.S.; not sure what the equivalent would be in the UK 🤷🏼♀️ - and fold them loosely into an accordion kind of shape, and place them in the backs of the bids as needed. They should stay springy for quite some time, and you can remove them when the bins get full enough.

Your studio is lovely - you have made it elegant and made the most of a small space. Couple of things I do in my own - I LOVE command hooks - I have put some on the back of the cases that back up to my desk and hang my score boards and trimmers on them - it's easier for me to get to than turning to reach behind me. Secondly, I have more command hooks on the sides of bookcases and cabinets and have hung my die sets on them using single book rings for each set. I can find the proper set I want just by looking and I can hang many sets from each hook. May not be as aesthetically pleasing as your set up now but it saves me lots of hunting! Lastly, I took most of my ribbon off of the stupid cardboard spool and wound onto hand made floss keeper type things or a clothes pin, using silk pins to secure the ends (non rusting). That saved me tons of room in the bins I was using for storage and I thought it looked better. I enjoyed this - TFS!

I enjoyed the tour & I think the framed brushes are so pretty. I was thinking that the inside of your cupboard doors could also be used for storage, either more magnetic knife boards or magnetic sheets for dies, as this would be thin enough not to be an issue. Or curtain wire instead, to hang items on, or add a storage pocket on. You might not fit a lot but the access to it would be pretty easy. I did want to also mention that it is great to have natural light, but having your cardstock there near the window can cause it it to fade over time, as I have personally seen happen, but you could use curtain wire to put a curtain over that section of the cupboard or a door on that section, to prevent this. Also, for any wall storage, if you notice dust collecting on it, you could do what a friend of mine did. She has spools of machine thread displayed on a wall board in rainbow order & to prevent dust, she hung a clear piece of sturdy vinyl, such as may be used over a dining table, over it.

It's looking great Lou! I've been trying to sort mine too, on a much smaller scale, plus I have mobility problems, but like yourself, I'm finding it quite exciting sourcing storage solutions. It was always my dream to have a handy partner, but my first husband just showed me how to use a drill, for which I'm truly thankful, but my current partner, my toyboy, he's not at all handy! I've had to ban him from my craftroom because he lives in chaos! I've been after some of them cube shelves for a while. Very exciting, very happy for you ❤❤❤

Very impressive space! I love that you explain how your storage works for you. I had watched your studio cnstruction video and thought omg it's going to be too narrow a space for you but wow- it's not. Finished, it looks roomy, well-organozed and fun to be in. I like that you used some supplies as decor. I love your old stamp albums- I can just imagine how much fun you've had creating with them over the years and I'd love to see you use those in some projects this year if you've time for that. I have my very own craft room after years of wanting this- and I love it. I'm still working out some of the detailed organization but basically, I have it very well organized in a way that works. That was my biggest challenge lol- finding organization methods that work well for me. And I'm always learning new tips from my favorite creators; so say I like one of your storage methods but it won't quite work for me, it will inspire me to a solution that does. We did the painting and refinishing ourselves like you and your husband- and it makes being in that room all the more enjoyable. It's the first time in my life I've had a space for crafting that I could make my own and I'm immenselt happy with it. I keep my clear stamps in binders on a bookshelf directly behind where I sit. I just turn around and grab the binder I need, they're organized by theme. It has saved me SO much time and from the aggravating "I know I have it but can't find it" search. I can't believe you've got a 15 yr old kid! You look way too young. Thanks for this video!

Interesting times ahead! 😊

I love what you have done with the space. It is great using your and Sam’s rooms for inspiration. I enjoy watching the room tours by several American crafters, but their craft rooms are often four times the size of mine. I have so many stamps I have acquired over the last 30 years. Shamefully probably 75% are still unopened. I need to do the knife magnet trick for my most used nesting dies too!
