How great did this rare 1970 Plymouth Super Bird look in the sun in that vibrant Tor Red! As always, the big draw of these models is their large rear wing; apart from their stylized wedge-shaped beak, pop-up headlights, bulging hood scoops and large dark vinyl roof. Nice interior, almost entirely in black, along with a simple, but well-laid-out instrument panel (not to forget Richard Petty's signature, and the eye-catching scale model behind the seats). Extraordinary that I still have its original spare tire, along with the sheets and certificates in the trunk. Quite a pleasant final ride on that small, winding road. Come on, the reactions of the people, at the beginning of the video, when that powerful V8 "Super Commando" catapulted this bird, say it all! Congratulations to Mr. Jennings for preserving these magnificent cars that indiscriminately gave him that incurable "bird flu"! Best regards, Lou!

Howdy Do, Sir Lou! You did it once again with the magic. The don't get much more epic than this 70 Superbird! Bob is an awesome maniac when it comes to his cars!!! LoL. I hope Bob has given thought about what happens to his cars when for whatever reason (accident, sickness, age, etc) he leaves this plane of existence, and knows who he can will his cars to that will love and care for them as much as he. It would be horrific if he leaves them to chance and the cars get separated, start falling apart and rusting in someone's junkyard or cow field. Possessions mean nothing to us when we are dead, but to the living, cars like these are history and art that can be preserved. Forever maybe not so much, but hopefully for as long as humanly possible.

I have the twin sister to this one. 440/4bbl column shift auto, bench seat, no tach, Tor-Red and has 46000 miles. All original drivetrain has never been out of the car, 2 buildsheets, one of which was still under the passenger seat when I bought the car 4 years ago. And I live just over an hour away from Bill. One cool thing about mine, it came from the factory with 14" whitewall tires on wirespoke wheels.

@loucostabile3 ай бұрын
Hi Christopher, Depends. They were not practical because you really would have a challenge daily driving this car with the extended nose, so although few were produced, fewer people wanted to buy them. As for the looks, some people love the look because it's so different, and some people don't like the look for the same reason. As an example, my wide thinks it looks ridicules, and I love the looks. Bottom line, I think it's personal preference, Lou
