@loucostabile There's a dark red one in the GM Heritage Collection (chauffeur driven) that was given to the collection by a local woman. That's where I fell in love with the 1930 V-16 Cadillac. By far, it was the most beautiful car in the cars displayed and became my favorite Cadillac. I'm stunned that someone has 2 of them and actually drives them. I've watched your video several times and really enjoyed it. Many thanks! BTW: my runner-up is the glorious 59 Biarritz convertible👍

Can you imagine if Cadillac made a V16 today what it'd be capable of? The V16 is very smooth and torquey and the sound of it reminds me of a beautiful inline six cylinder. This one of the world's Best cars ever. Actually this is one of my dream cars. Have a great God blessed day.

The 1932 Chevy was advertised as having the Cadillac look with it's little doors on the hood. In the 1960's Dad bought Mum a car for her to drive around,a 1932 Confederate coupe with 7,000 miles on it. In the 70's it was taking up room in Dads factory so it was sold and today the present owner tells me it still only has 14,000 miles..!. I love the looks of the Chevys right up to 1938.

Cadillacs were such trendsetters you pointing out the lights right above the bumper turning with the steering wheel that proceeded Tucker‘s idea which is I understood it. He never did get that to function properly on his card and the fact that you had five settings for the suspension I found that fascinating, the controls on the steering wheel for different functions. That was a trendsetter too really amazing. I have to say that would be one for my bucket list to be able to go for a ride in one of those cars. The low in torque would have to be amazing thanks for a great Carl as usual. God bless you.❤🙏

Stunning automobile! This was when Cadillac was establishing their reputation as "the standard of the world," and it was well-deserved. That engine is amazing but there is so much more to appreciate. I love the huge headlamps, the turned metal dashboard and the little chrome details that just scream luxury and elegance. The V16 emblems are gorgeous. So many like to focus on the big finned monsters of the late 50s, and they are great cars that spoke to that era, but the cars of the late 20s and 30s solidified their reputation as among the very best, if not THE best, in the world. Another great job and thanks, Lou!

I lived in Long Beach Ca 50 years back in Belmont Shore. My neighbor across the street had a friend who actually owned one of these cars. It was yellow or something like it. He drove it over a few times to visit. I remember that golf club compartment. The owner bought the car back in the 50s from the long beach airport where he said it was used to drag the runway with a log! He had spent many years restoring it. I heard later that it somehow was stolen and allegedly shipped overseas. Nice to see another a half century later.

A magnificent car, as others have said, although I'm not sure it is clearly superior to a Deusenberg or Packard of similar vintage, not to mention Rolls Royce, Delahaye, Hispano Suiza, Mercedes-Benz, etc. All were pretty impressive and designed during the booming late-'20s economy. By the time this was delivered, it was practically sinful to show it in public. Would like to see a side-by-side comparison of this and a couple of its contemporaries. Keep up the good work, Lou!

This is really a nice looking luxury car for that time period. Also this video answered a question I had for some time which was when was synchromesh developed for manual transmissions? It looks like Cadillac developed it in 1928. Previously I thought the synchromesh manual transmission was developed around the mid 1930s. We know that in 1930 the Ford Model A manual transmission did not have synchronizers.

The extreme attention to detail on this car is like Cadillac was building a watch. I suppose it is a time machine to 1930.
