holy shit they were so shy at the end of the performance and it's evident that they felt very uncomfortable in such a fancy show... I love this humble, introverted, anti-superstar attitude
@charlielucas32658 жыл бұрын
+under88Me there was an interview where the interviewer brought up this performance, and Matt said that at the end when the presenter came on shouting, he didn't know if they were being told off or something!! He thought they'd done something wrong and he was really confused! bless him, I love this band. They're brilliant.

word, I looked up this video after reading about an "infamous" Letterman reaction and knew what to expect but I could tell how Letterman's first few sentences could have been misinterpreted. I was expecting him to be like WOW AMAZINNGG but instead he starts off with "Come onnnn come onnn, I don't know....." in this sarcastic tone.

@John Salonga Cage is not even in the same stratosphere as the Strokes. They are a gimmicky band with a whiny singer for emojified boys that struggle to get laid. The Strokes are one of the top ten rock artists that defined that particular decade along with a few others like White Stripes, Queens of the Stone Age, Interpol etc. Cage Elephant are a blip on the radar and easily forgotten.

That keyboardist's backing vocals annoys me. Just let Matt do his thing, he's not really one for harmonizing and hitting a lot of notes anyways. Besides that, awesome performance. Can't wait to see them live!

ricky casanova Exactly, they put it all into the song and show, their voices sing it but their minds and their whole bodies carry the show into what you see before you. If they look fucked the hell up while doing it, so be it, the song is what it's all about to them.

That's the lead guitarist not rhythm, and he is just rocking out.
