Cattle Decap is my favourite band ever since I heard them. Actually the first time I heard them, I wasn’t even into Cannibal Corpse yet, so this scared the shit out of me. Then recently I was trying to remember bands I’ve listened to, but didn’t like in the past, so I couldn’t give them another shot. I remembered Cattle Decap, and as soon as I heard Death Atlas I just lit up. The same day I bought a shirt on amazon, and they’ve been my favourite band ever since.

When i first heard of Cattle Decapitation, i had never heard of vocals like the ones that Travis (Ryan) had already been doing for a good while before i heard of them. ive got to be honest and say that i didnt really know what to make of them. But "that" was what made me understand that what Travis was doing was something new (and pretty damn incredible!) . I listened the hell out of the Terrasite singles and then preordered the album. I miss instrumentals. One of the first ones I heard was Madman on Silverchairs frogstop when I was 16. I loved listening to it. I was sharing Flying Whales by Gojira with a friend and they were complaining during the opening instrumental about the lack of vocals, and in general didn't even try to grasp the arrangements later in the song. The vocalist is clean but it's crazy how just because it's not all head voice ( people's have such conservative ideas on what a vocalist can be). Tremendous respect for Travis Ryan pushing what a vocalist can be and pursuing his passion. Would love to see a meet and great plus discussion of music between him and Lil Wayne.
