Rust in Peace, Peace Sells, Killing is My Business, and Dystopia are my favorite Megadeth albums, definitely. That said, I haven't anticipated a new Megadeth album the way I am looking forward to the next album, since Rust in Peace. Kiko is phenomenal, not just a great guitarist, but has taste, and Dirk Verbeuren is as good as, or better than, any drummer in the world, in terms of talent and skills, but also in terms of writing drum parts for songs, plus bring tasteful, and I've never heard a drummer who combines the power and the speed that he does with the subtleties and creative complexity that he adds to what he plays and what he writes. I hope Dave lets him loose to run.

Dirk is really a great drummer, if MegaDave let him do his thing, it might be another masterpiece, remember Nick Menza did contribute a lot to Rust in Peace. They now have a dream lineup again, with Kiko being a great soloist, and Dave Junior still being one of the greatest bass players alive. I believe they're able to produce something as technical and inventive as Rust in Peace if they put their mind to it. Let's hope Mustaine still has the riffs flowing through...

Man, Marty lay some of the most amazing solos on that album, they have the MF trademark style, and still Dave's keeping it up with the "I sang Marty's solos bla bla". When he says Marty did listen to Chris Poland's takes on the songs, I check them out, and you can hear some ideas in the final record, specially on Take no prisoners. But still is Marty's version and imprint.

@Epiphany Party Wow, that bad, eh? And I can only imagine what was going through your mind at that time. I've been INCREDIBLY lucky with the musicians I've met and/or became genuine friends with; Kurt Cobain gave me a sweater at a dumpy little garage kegger Nirvana played at. They were still working Bleach. Chris Cornell was quiet, polite, and gave me free tix when they sold out here in Seattle. Then there's Layne Staley, one of my closest friends ever. I can't talk about him or I'll get all emotional, lol. I'm sorry Mustaine was a dick to you, but as long as you've never lost your passion for metal... You're all good. 😉🤘(Also, sorry for the life story I just typed, lmao. If you read til the end, you're fkn awesome and I appreciate ya. :)

If Dave or ANYONE yelled at my kid I'd punch 'em in the throat! Kurt and Layne died before my kids were born, unfortunately, because my 13 son is huge into Nirvana. He also likes Manson, TOOL, SoaD... Yeeeeah, I'm bragging a little, ha! My daughter (27) is into all that rap bullshit. I thought it was a phase!!! 😂 You're so right on about the memories... We'll always have those. A couple months ago I started writing down my "band stories"; I never wanna forget, and my son is super impressed.
