It's always great to see interviews with Draiman. He's both intelligent and a great artist and it's always a treat getting to hear him speak about the new material. I think Immortalized is indeed next level Disturbed, and the tour & the album the succeeds Immortalized is very exciting to think about.

David Draiman...I know the words to sounds of silence. I could write them down verbatim. NEVER in my 53 years have I heard them in this manner. Youve shown me those lyrics in a way that was so insanely powerful, that I got CHILLS first, then I couldnt stop crying and excuse this part--snotting all over the place for at least an hour. Impressed doesnt even begin to cover the emotion. Thank you.

Metal and Hard Rock tours bring in the money because the only music worth being played loud for the crowd IS Rock and Metal. No other genre of music can even come close to the energy of Rock and Metal. played live.

@DanishThePenguin9 жыл бұрын
+Ocean Sage A fair point, I think. I certainly noticed that a lot of their songs do have an overly similar feel. Personally, it's the exact style I love listening to more than anything else so I can overlook it. At least in no longer being a fan, you haven't instead started declaring that they suck or something.
@taylor0219017 жыл бұрын
Ocean Sage hey man, it could be worse. they could Nickleback. and actually, a lot of Disturbed's music isn't so much alike as people say it is. how is Down With the Sickness like Stricken. how is Prayer like Inside the Fire how is Stupify like The Night how is Voices like Enough how is The Animal like The Vengeful One how is Hell like the Sound of Silence

Dear Mr Simmons; With groups like Disturbed, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Five Finger Death Punch still going strong. How The hell do you declare "rock dead"? The Light will be my funeral dirge if I have anything to say about it. As it sums up life in a nutshell.

Solid, stand-up, well spoken, intelligent individual. And my favorite singer out of the last couple of decades. I remember I used to think rock is dead with the likes of Nirvana having taken over the airwaves. When I was growing up listening to Duran Duran, The Police/Sting, Journey, Rush, U2, Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Bad Company, Whitesnake, Van Halen, Robert Plant, ....that was my rock and roll. Disturbed have restored my faith that rock and roll is alive and well.

There are new heavy metal/rock bands that tell me that rock isn't dead. Rock and metal will continue to thrive, as well as rap and pop. Other genres will never top the adrenaline rush you get from a rock or metal live concert

As long as metallica, disturbed, AC/DC, and iron maiden are still around rock will never die and David draiman made a good point overseas have the most popular heavy metal fan base and that's why rock and heavy metal will never die as long as there are people willing to buy and listen to rock and heavy metal music then rock and heavy metal bands are going to keep on making music for their fans to listen to and enjoy in the words of AC/DC rock and roll will never die 🤘🤘

I think the problem is darker and more aggressive rock over shadows the upbeat fast pace rock. in 1950s rock and roll was quite upbeat.

what exactly do you mean "beat my favorite genre metal", pop and rap is not even close to Metal, Metal and Rock is at the top and will be in the future, just look at how famous some metal and rock bands are these days and also look at spotify's report on metal

just because something is not appreciated by the majority doesn't mean that it's dead. there will always be people who are crazy about rock & metal, there are always people who go against the majority & have their own things & do what they love. let the majority fuck with pop & hip hop while we can have less pollution from those fucking pop stars & really make good music & continue the music's spirit!

I'm a huge Disturbed fan (listening to them for 7 now), buuuuuut i have to say... David, what the FUCK is Immortalized? You and your band have been making in my ears the best music of all time, but Immortalized is just shit as a whole. Open your Eyes and What are you waiting for are fine. Maybe even The Vengeful One, but the seen as a whole it is your worst album. Some might argue, that you gotta see that subjectively and that it is a good album, because you tried out something new. But in fact just look at Device. You wanted to try something else, but you did the same thing in Device as you did in Disturbed and it is great, I love it. So I appreciate new ideas and shit and I don't have to like every song you put in an album, but you should watch out, that it is good as a whole, if that makes any scence. God bless you David, love you and see ya Uh-Ah-Ah-Ah
