I have had this exact conversation with tons of people. Louie CK is on another level tho in his funny analysis of everything. He's extremely engaging and focused. It's bizarre to see how well spoken and intelligent this guy is after being so accustomed to his character

I really loved the last question, and his answer. That was not the answer I was expecting and I think it really showed that beneath all of the layers of ignorance, sarcasm, and sweaty masturbation - Louis is just a really good guy. You can kind of see his face when he talks about the show - Because he was saying what made the show so great is that his audience WAS his show. He realized it meant a lot to them, and in turn it means a lot to him. When I was in the military, shit like that was like a hot cup of coffee and a bottle of Jack Daniels after a week in a cold, wet heap of mud.

The end was great, I can imagine them really appreciating that show. In my mind I imagined the crowd squeezing in before he even said it because that's the kind of mentality you get with that kind of crowd. Of course not everyone, but as a whole, a cohesive unit, that's how it is.

Indeed, it was very very refreshing. Then again that balding middle aged man is Louis C.K. and he was pouring out his words, which after his death will frame him as one of the greatest avant-garde writers of this generation. It's hard to hear his aeroplane jokes and not to stair at him this way :)

Why not just focus on the subject of the interview, the person who's talking -- like every other professional video interview anywhere?

there is so much to like about this clip: he makes up new stuff on the go, she goes with it, he actually understood the problems we as a people are facing - and still facing - ten years ago. and obviously finally a glimpse into, how Louis does comedy (talking about himself, but not about himself... which is actually a great way of looking at your own Problems. It gives you the opportunity to really question yourself and be true to your values)

A lot of comments here are saying she is into him. She is definitely impressed by him. I would probably act similarly if I were talking to him even though I'm a straight male. He's not just a celebrity, he is, in my mind, the greatest stand-up ever. I would be staring at him with doe-eyes hoping he didn't think I was an arsehole. That said, she might be into him sexually, but I would say that people are jumping the gun here. If she looked at me like that, I would say I'd be in. But I'm not a comedy superstar, so I'd doubt she'd ever be that fascinated by me, so I could assume it's probably sexual interest (or a very strong platonic feeling from her, but that is fairly rare). On another note, keep the sexual comments respectful guys. She's super cute but let's not go posting lewd comments about her (there is a line between expressing sexual desire and expressing a lack of respect). Let's stay classy, San Diego. We can do it.

Aside from all the comments here talking about banging the chic, Louis is actually discussing important points about modern day over materialism and humans incapability to appreciate things. Most likely because he has lived before technology and after technology has come out. Most new age humans dont realise how much easier life has become for us. Then again as Louis says its not personal its a human condition. Never ever satisfied with what we have and always want more. In other words, we are never happy. Great interview.

Says the person using the billion dollar video social network owned by the largest tech company on earth. Besides, not just computers are technology. Airplanes are tech. Cars are tech. Coats are tech. Air Conditioning Is tech. Get over yourself and realize technology is good for all of us.

BTW I agree with Louie. He is just saying you shouldn't bitch when something works a little bit worse then expected.

Zongree Albright Actually that's not what he's saying. He's saying how capitalism leaves us unsatisfied and no one really got that, but it doesn't matter to him cuz it was a joke at the end of the day. You don't agree with him.

I think the bigger picture that CK was addressing, and alluded to in the interview was Capitalism - of which technology is a facet.

Being critical is what keeps up moving towards an improved society. Of course the ultimate goal is unreachable, and one could make the argument that it is better to be happy with something bad than to be displeased with something better. But I say we keep going, boats against the current, in the struggle to achieve.

I love this interview. It is exactly what it should have been. My enjoyment of it, like so many things, is probably directly related to the atmosphere I'm in right now. It's cold outside, there's a blanket of snow on the ground, it's midday and the sunlight is filtered through the clouds and shining through the window into my living room where I'm watching this on my laptop. If it was a nice, warm day and I was holed up in here, I'd still think it's a good clip, but I'd feel shitty about myself, wasting the day on my computer instead of being outside, taking advantage of such beautiful weather. It all makes perfect sense in my head. I'm just not always good with explaining things. I hope you get what I mean though

+Mike Thole you should just go outside, dude. Just walking with some music and watching the surroundings clears the head. If not, walk some more and consider running

+MataGeir I do enjoy that. I love just being outside and clearing my head and I'm in a great place to do that. working on the woodpile, splitting and stacking, snowblowing my driveway and enjoying a brisk walk down the old country road are some of my all time favorite things. I had just spent the previous day doing all those things actually and felt like having an afternoon to relax in my home.
