A great place for ideas, at least for me is this concept. Lean one two three and four bar phrases forwards then play them in reverse/backwards. Then inside out. Bar two backwards to start of bar one, then bar three forwards thru bar four. Bar four backwards to beginning of bar three, then bar one forwards to end of bar two. Possibilities are endless and is a real chops builder. Things happen when stickings are played forwards and backwards. Love your stuff!

Hey, I love your videos, especially when you experiment with your licks in a solo! Could you please show some Jimmy Cobb or Jeff Hamilton stuff, please? Winard Harper is also a great comtemporary drummer! And Jimmy Cobb has some wonderful phrases that sound very hip on their own.
