The main reason I subscribe to your Patreon (maybe 1.5 years ago?) was to learn to paint the birds that visit her back yard. I painted several trials of a Red Breasted Grosbeak, which is mostly red, black, and white. Never got it right. It was always very overworked. Watching this video makes me want to try again! Thanks so much for the inspiration!

Ahhh yes, blending colors is much easier to understand with your wonderful explanation & visual examples that you show in this video. I am finding that I have been afraid to use the wet on wet technique to it’s full potential as an intermediate artist. Thanks for sharing this wonderful information of this blending technique. Enjoy your weekend! 💕😊

Hello Louise, how nice to see you again! I hope that you are feeling better! This tutorial was so interesting and helpful, as blending colours can be tricky for a beginner like me. Thank you and take care. Helene

Just gorgeous! 😍 I have a request if I may. ❤ Could you please, please paint a Princess of Wales Parakeet? 🦜 I have a 9 year old male, Madoc, hatched here in Alabama! I'm a photographer & have loads of reference photos if you're interested. Also, I was wondering if you happen to see many in the wild in your part of Australia? Blessings, Gail 🇺🇸🥰🇦🇺❤️🏴

Love your rosella! I'm also lucky to have them as regular visitors to my garden. I'm interested in enrolling in your watercolour classes as mentioned above but the link does not work (Enroll in my WATERCOLOUR CLASSES now: ..). Is this a link to your Patreon content or do you have another course? Thank you.

It seems some of my links were cut off. I've fixed it now but here is the direct link. www.louisedemasi.com/online-classes Thank you for letting me know Catherine. I don't have another course platform at this stage (other than Skillshare) but I will be adding a new platform early next year.

Is it ok to paint off the photos in your videos? Thank you

The birds are so beautiful, as is your painting! I like the flourishes of paint that you add around the subject - it's a creative way to ground the subject so that it doesn't look like it is floating in air. I have always learned something from every one of your videos, even if some points are reminders of things I knew, it's still very helpful. One thing I noticed about this video is that you didn't name the pigments as you have typically done before and I miss that. It really helps to see how different pigments react to each other and how they look side by side in a composition. I have made a point of choosing each of the colors in my palette one by one, so seeing other colors in a video helps me decide if perhaps it would be good to add this one or that. Thank you for another excellent lesson. 👋🦜 p.s. your blouse really brings out the blue of your eyes!
