When you go to the zoo to see the animals, the name of the animal is on the cage, under the name is it's name in Latin. When you go to the zoo in Lousiana, the name of the animal is on the cage, under name is at least two ways to cook it.

For anyone wondering why they tape the mouth after they're dead. It's because reptiles can still have very substantial body movement a while after death. Even a dead gator can bite. Snapping turtles and snakes are the same. Never assume a recently killed reptile can't hurt you.

Gator hunting is very restricted. A hunter only gets a certain number of tags (gators) a year. This helps ensure that they aren't killed to extinction, but also culls the population.
