@@shawn-wp2vs there are some mental health issues that he has been addressing over the last 6-8 months. He has also had some concussions from contact sports in high school and because of that wore a helmet during basketball. People saw this and ran with the theory that he might have CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy). It is found mainly in individuals in high contact sports…NFL, NHL, BOXING, MLB-which is not really a contact sport, etc. I only took this with a grain of salt because it was mainly coming from people on the internet and not any medical provider that might be dealing with Connor’s autopsy. But Thursday the medical examiner stated that they had been notified by the parents about Connor’s concussion and will study his brain to see if CTE could be a factor. What is CTE? It’s a progressive and fatal brain disease associated with repeated traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), including concussions and repeated blows to the head. There’s not a whole lot of research on it mainly because you can only “technically” diagnosis CTE after death because you have to PHYSICALLY see the brain. They have been learning more over recent years…either because someone committed harm to themselves or others and/or someone donated their body to science after passing (which a lot of NFL players are now doing to help with the research). For this reason the medical provider can now look at a patient and see common symptoms that can lead them to believe it could possibly have CTE. The symptoms are, but not limited to, dementia, Alzheimer’s, aggression, “unalive oneself” ideation’s, insomnia, depression, migraines, etc. A lot of the well known athletes that have been diagnosed with CTE after passing did so by “unaliving” themselves and there have been a few murder/suicides as well. A lot of these athletes where showing changes in behavior but not usually severe enough to cause fear or worry. Mostly it seems like they snapped out of nowhere. Now me saying this is not me saying that if it is confirmed that he has CTE that what he did wasn’t horrible. It would just help shed some little on why someone who seemed so “normal” did what he did. I’ve known Connor since 2018. We were both at Alabama. I was completing my masters. I was friends with him on Snapchat, Facebook and IG. We also communicated through text and phone calls. Not on a regular basis but every couple of weeks or so. I personally never saw any warning signs or major changes in behavior. But also to be fair I’m never on SC, FB, or IG so if he was posting weird things (which some have said he was) I probably wouldn’t have seen them. Now am I saying he has CTE? No but I went into detail about it hoping it would answer any questions you might have. Although media has reported he was recently fired or knew he was going to be fired is not true. The bank confirmed that with both to the police and the family. He was in a relationship and they were in good terms. I personally don’t feel that Connor did it to prove a point or because he is evil. What he did was evil. He comes from very supportive and healthy home environment. My gut tells me CTE is involved but again I could be wrong and then no one will ever really know why he did it. After listening to his mothers 911 call (100’s of times) I get the feeling that the letter Connor left for his roommate and the roommate notified his mom I don’t feel the letter stated he was homicidal but suicidal but again I could be wrong. All of this is currently based on my opinion and not facts. It’ll probably be a couple of weeks or months before we get an update on motive.

How sad a tragedy. First reports said that Connor was about to be fired. I would like to know what transpired during the morning Team meeting that another bank employee that called 911 described. There appear to exist some similarities with the recent Walmart shooting by an employee that had been demoted apparently and also the shooting happened after a morning meeting. Anxiety, mental stress and pressure from higher-ups for better performance to increase sales in an insecure environment, and the economic depression in the country heightens such anxiety.

Having worked in a bank, we didn't have any security. We had a panic button and that's it. There were more security measures to protect the money which was in a vault that required 2 codes and 2 keys and people to open it. There's no protection for the people working in the bank, although the precautions we had were in the event of a robbery - not a mass murder.

Evil and mentally ill are synonymous...not mutually exclusive. Im not sorry that every mentally ill person is a goody two-shoes victim of their own brain. You all prey on men with vulnerable minds then wanna cry victim when they turn around and prey on you. HIPAA laws have to be changed so people with mental health issues “past and present” show up on background checks, that would stop a lot of these shootings
@NamesZKP
@NamesZKP Жыл бұрын
It already is dummy. But you have to be institutionalized for it to show up on paperwork. Just saying someone has a mental illness isn't enough. In order for more males to actually seek help would require a total reform of those institutions and a complete change in how society understands and empathizes with males that showcase any mental issues that arent romanticized like how schizophrenia, autism and adhd is. And that will never happen so I advise males to keep buying guns and look because society and your own government looks at you like an enemy.

Doug, the AR-15 rifle is a military style weapon. The public does not need access to that weapon. This weapon is like a lightweight machine gun. These people who commit mass murder wage war on the public. And that's why they like the AR-15 rifle. In the interest of public safety they should, ban the sale of the AR-15 rifle.

There's ALWAYS "warning signs". People just choose to ignore them. A perfect example is the state of our country and how the govt doesn't see a problem with mutilating children's bodies. If that's not a prime example of the state of mental health in our country idk what is. And that's at the high ranking levels. If it's that bad up top (people that have the money, the resources, the opportunity to get the best medical help possible) just imagine how bad it must be at the bottom (people that can't afford simple, basic insurance). Use logic people. Sadly, "common sense" ain't so common these days. All I gotta say is... Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. We see that now more than ever. (And there's a clear reason for that if you just look.) Can't afford insurance? Mental health resources? Jesus. Just picking up a Bible for once will work wonders. Literally. Just give Jesus a try. What's the hurt in that?
