Good morning guys! Firstly I hope you’re all safe and well ❤️ The current situation is a bit of a tricky one to navigate when you do what we do. Simon and I are trying to be responsible the with content we put out there. This video was the most requested ones we’ve had and as much as we’d like to please everyone, that’s never going to be the case. Is loungewear essential? No it’s not, and buying new loungewear definitely isn’t so I’m not actively trying to encourage you all to go and splash your cash as I know there are so many of you in a state of financial uncertainty right now. With online shopping it’s a tricky one, on one hand if certain brands and delivery companies are still able to operate in a safe way then we are still able to contribute to their survival (financially) so that thousands of people still have a company to work for. But on the other hand, are we risking the lives of these delivery drivers and warehouse workers and risking the spread of infection? I’ve been back and forth with this in my head, among other things of course. I would like to encourage everyone, as I usually do, to look into your existing wardrobes first before making a new purchase. I’m sure you all have things to work with in there 🙌🏼. However if you do decide to make an online order might I suggest making one order from one brand to lessen the risk for those involved, rather than an order here and an order there. I understand where you're coming from and it is a poser regarding the delivery people's safety, but as you rightly say companies need to stay in business as well. I guess as long as drivers are alone in their van and are provided with correct instructions about not going near people, they can remain relatively protected. I have to give praise to all the supermarket workers and food delivery people for their courage in keeping us all fed and supplied. They don't always get the acknowledgement they deserve.

I ordered an Uniqlo lounge wear set the Friday before going on lock down. Haven't worn it yet as the weather turned warm here, but it's looking cooler next week. Getting out of PJs really does keep me feeling "normal."

Loved this Emma. You're a wee nugget of gold right now and I love how you sensibly and logically think things through. Funny story...(well, for me anyway)...I ordered some fancy hand wash before we went into lockdown, and the postie delivered it this morning - I didn't realise that they'd delivered it though, because hubby just happened to find it dumped in the barn somewhere! LOL. How's that for a 'safe' delivery!? ;) (Rationale for buying fancy hand wash - I figured if we are needing to wash our hands so much more now, why not do it in style!? LOL). Love that the majority of the world calls the bottoms “joggers” like there’s a chance you may actually do some exercise in them. Whereas us in Australia call them trakkie daks like the disgraceful bogans that we are 😂😂 Thanks Emma for entertaining us on the daily.

I do think of you as the loungewear queen 👸 I on the other hand do look like a proper slob. I wear leggings most of the time but they do get bobbly and wear out really quickly as I prefer cotton and breathable fabrics for leggings. Dog hair is also an issue so I feel like I can't be bothered to buy nice loungewear as it will just end up looking shite anyway. You have given some really good tips here so thank you. Hopefully one day I won't feel like a slob around the house 😀🙏

Cant believe what great quality this video is, great sound too! I still get dressed every day, I love my (vintage and quite unique) trousers too much. On days I go to the supermarket I tend to dress up, since the supermarket isle is my runway now!

Good morning! Elevated loungewear, dreamy. I'd love some cashmere loungewear, but as I have 3 cat's, they'd annihilate cashmere with their lil claws. Necessity outweighs the want, but that's with all clothes, having cat's.I still appreciate the item's you shared! ❤

video ideas: when its appropriate 1. You have such a great selection of basic tops, the fabric and the style - perfect and basic and go with your entire wardrobe. what rules do you follow when trying on and picking the percent basic tops? Is there a unique structure you try and find in the top? (all your summer tops on your insta) 2. Oldest pieces ( or piece) in your wardrobe, oh and the newest in your collection, Simon's too!! How does he like the functionality/ adjustment to his own wardrobe? 3. What about hats?! do you have a collection? got a fav? one you love but Simon hates? How do you store them?

Cat Mom and now a Puppy Mom too. Dodging it, brushing it off, etc. all very real 😊 and so worth having them in my life. 2” packing tape is my fastest solution to ridding dark garments of any evidence. PS pockets are an essential for me. For half my life I didnt seem to need pockets-now I won’t be without. All the best, you two!

Hi Em, great video, I love your outfits. It’s been really hard to find light-colored joggers or matching sets in the US. Because of my warm climate, I also like woven ones in linen or rayon. H&M had some great linens joggers, but they’re always out of stock, it’s taken about 3 months to get the sizes/colors I want, now waiting for delivery. That’s ok, though, we have 6 weeks more hot weather here in San Francisco.

That Elgin set is gorgeous and I can imagine how nice it must feel. My cats also moult and the lint remover is essential kit. I have some M&S joggers in navy, but they have that speckled look (marle?) so they don't show the hair.

I wish I had the motivation to get dressed when I work from home but I usually just stay in my pj's lol. When I do put on track pants "joggers" I usually slip into my Roots bottoms or something from Old Navy. Love the video and the motivation to try to get dressed next week. Hi Emma, I really like that 2 piece lounge wear ftom H&M in that taupe color. I prefer lounge wear at home rather than my jeans or slacks. But when I go out of the house I get into my slacks and a nice top. Have a nice week-end, stay safe.

Such a fun video, thanks! The first week of quarantaine I’ve experimented with making my joggers look more fashionable in an outfit, but after a while I got bored with them. So now the 2nd week in and I’m experimenting with luxury pyjama looks 😂 Combining my pyjama pants with fun knitwear and I must admit it looks really good, would even wear it outside 🤣

My colors, too. dark navy, cream, and beige. Great pieces! LOL the dog hair. My two toy foxes would shed like crazy! I literally had to brush them every other day, and that just barely took the edge off. Someone needs to invent a doggy vacuum where just their eyes are showing and the rest of them gets hoovered.

I’d love to see a video on caring for clothes..how often to wash?or how to wash ?do you iron or steam clothes?....and the interesting one for me is do you dry clothes outside? lol...Most people I watch seem to use dryers which I find shrinks a lot of items even on low heat. Lovely collection, the Johnston’s of Elgin set is beautiful but def out my budget 😳. But appreciate you showing different price points. Most of mine is H&M, Next or M&S. Have some cashmere mix but would love a proper cashmere one sometime. The Zara ones are on sale currently.

I clicked on this video so quickly! What are your thoughts on the difference between H&M's 100% cashmere and cotton/cashmere blend? I want to get a set but can't decide which one is the better option

I would say the 100% cashmere will be a lot softer and warmer (but you may find it bobbles quite a lot so would be worth getting a debobbler) where the mix won't be as soft but would be cheaper and won't bobble as much. Hope that helps 👍

Emma, do you have any tips for brand or fabric so that joggers do not expand and create their own bum and knees in a matter of hours? It's the main problem I have with lounge wear!

I would suggest avoiding anything that stretches (knitted, fleece etc) so maybe the cargo style bottoms which are a bit more rigid. Although I find with mine that if they go a little baggy they are fine after a wash 👍

That doesn't bother me too much as I find once they are washed they return to their proper shape. But if its something you aren't keen on I would look at something a little more structured like the cargo pant option 👍

Hi joan, my husband hates baggy knees as well, I couldnt care less about them, but I have found that natural fibers like cotton tend to "bag" more than polyester for example. I never thought it bothered other people as well, I thought my husband was a little weird 🤪
