The period of my life when I found my homelessness, in an abusive relationship, self destructive behavior, it was degrading and soul destroying one. It definitely left me deep emotional battle scars. I love this song... I hope one day, I will be able to share my degrading moments, how I cleverly disguised my downfall and maintain a smile for the sake of my children. How would've I been able to explain that their Queen has fallen.?...😥 "But the Lord is with me like a mighty warrior" Jeremiah 20:11

It really does work to ask God for help, I drink from the age of 15 to 34 and one day while sitting at work I just looked up and said god what am I doing I come from a long line of alcoholics and I'm headed down that road, God if you'll make it go away I'll never think about nor will I ever take another drink again. It's been 17 years of life now with no alcohol and I think my heavenly father every day. He has blessed me in so many ways all you have to do is ask him David. :)) God bless and keep you.

The song is so powerful to those in recovery, the ones still suffering as well as the ones who love the alcoholic/addict. I've been an alcoholic and frequent drug user since I was a young lad, before I could even legally drive. I've seen the highest highs and the lowest lows in my dependency. If you've never been there you'll never understand. Everytime I hear this I am so thankful for another day sober. I won't say I made it thru today though until I wake up tomorrow morning. ✌&❤ Still listening in 2019

Caught this song on the Bobby Bones Show this morning when Love & Theft was in their studio.. Had to come home and listen to in full... brought tears to my eyes. As I sit back and look on my life and where I was and where I am today. We are never promised tomorrow or even the next breath for that matter. Jesus died for all our sins. We should strive to live our life as if we are going to meet him any minute unexpectedly, for we know not the hour he cometh, I fall short of that daily and I pray to him to forgive me.

Wow, a song that actually has some meaning. I haven't had a problem with drinking but being in the music business, I've been around a lot of it. Meeting Jesus with whiskey on your breath would not be a problem with Jesus. If going to heaven depended on us getting "cleaned up" then his death on the cross had no meaning. We are only asked (according to the Apostle Paul 1Cor 15:1-7) to believe in the death, burial and ressurection.

My wife now helped me day and night with my demons and still to this day helps me tremendously. It’s not an easy road but you all can do it. There isn’t a thing I can do but to say thank you to her everyday for having faith and believing in me and knowing I could get better. It was pure hell I put her through. Iv watched her cry, lay in the bed sick, go to work on absolutely no sleep and working 12 to 13 hours in a factory, beg me. You name it she done it for me. She is a true savior!!! My son send this to me . Before my journey of 3 1/2 yrs sober. GOD saved me because I asked. I'm his child. My life has fallen back to drinking. Because of my trust in me, my faith went to men and I'm struggling to rid my my self of the pain, sin and pestilence again. I know how to do it. I did it with HIM, faith and support. I'm truly scared to death. That my SAVIOUR would smell booze on me. Even though, HE remembers my sins no more. Especially, with how I long to see HIS face and thank HIM for loving me.

This song has always made me think about my dad. He passed away 3 years ago and I heard this song not too long afterward on Pandora. He was an alcoholic and ended up on life support because of it. He got saved the day before they took him off life support. He could communicate by blinking once for yes and twice for no. My uncle prayed with him and even though he couldnt move before, after my uncle said amen, my dad started crying and smiling and wiggling his shoulders and waving his hands in the air.

Bobby Bone sent me here, we just lost a friend who was trying to get sober and lost the battle and is now with Jesus. Rest in peace

I heard this song on the Bobby Bones show two days ago, and have been listening to it ever since. It is a beautiful song. I love the message it sends out. Been clean for 2 years. I wish this song was out sooner.

I'm in 24hour crisis hospital right now surrounded by people going through alcohol, heroin & you name it withdrawal. I felt the need to play this out loud on my phone.

Wow listening to this my first time while sitting here alone drinking my beer and thinking I've got to stop this I have liver cirrhosis, it's gonna kill me I've always believed I'll go to heaven one day, not so sure right now since I started back drinking half way thru the pandemic 😪🙏✌️

All of you young people battling addictions, please don't ever give up to win that battle. If you only knew the torment it puts on your family, your parents, it hurts in a way you'll never understand. I have lost two daughters to addiction, and their mother supported what they were doing. You all have so much opportunity, and there is so much life to live, don't let addictions ruin a lifetime of happiness, and adventure. There is a world of opportunity out there. I will keep you all in my prayers. Never give up! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! Never give up!!!

Bobby Bones played this this morning on his show. Amazing song, it's going to go huge now with the national exposure from the publicity.

the song didn't get the recognition it deserves. moreover those fucking bastards at curb records bought the rights of this song, replaced the amazing fiddle with lame electric guitars and released it to radio. The fuck...

I love this song. it reminds me of my dad. I like it because it talks about heaven and how he scared to meet Jesus with whiskey on his breath.

Life is to be enjoyed. Try to be moderate in drinking. Love people and be kind to everyone, including all animals--they are our friends too

I resonate with this. I am a combat veteran, tried to validate myself with money, and worldly success. I made money, partied had a successful MMA career, beautiful wife and kids. Lost it all with alcohol, and being my own God. All that matters is God, and please don't make my mistakes. I love all of you
