Beautiful Mike. Your thanks is in the mail. After some busy days with the girlfriend, I can now sit down and start learning the song for her and I. You're wonderful, and I appreciate the guitarist you are helping me become. -Nate (Caustek)

Hey. Appreciate the comment and thanks for recognizing my talents and efforts. I only jumped on board 3 or so years ago, so I'm more than happy with the 16K! I've got a niche thing here so I know the channel will never be huge. Honestly the real value is having a core group of people who believe in the cause enough to support it with a few bucks every month. You should consider! ;) But yes, I agree, I think there's many many guitarists out there who would get a lot of value from the channel if they only discovered it in the vast sea of youtube! Stay in touch, and lmk how else i can help!

Are you using effets for your singing? If so, what are you using? Sounds like the tallest man. Also, thanks for this video!
@MikesMusicMethodАй бұрын
indeed. In post I actually ran it through a plug in guitar distortion pedal to give it some grit. That guy has such a high timbre, plus they really have his vocal mics hot on his record. So yeah, trying to emulate that a bit.

Great video Mike ! Can this song be played on an acoustic guitar since the notes don't ring out and as long like your electric guitar? Just bought one of your memberships to support your fantastic lessons!

Thanks man! Appreciate that. And of course. I'll sometimes get people saying "you can't play John Hurt on a nylon string". Well, I just did, and it was a joy, and sounded awesome. So there's no hard rule. This song would sound great acoustic. You won't have the same grit, but I think it'd transfer lovely. Most of my time transcribing it and practicing it was done on my nylon string. Just wanted it to cut more when I recorded it.

love the Gibert Godfried imitation (see how i fit God in there) at the beginning. So Mike , i get an algor for Bruised Orange by Rick + Peter Acoustic feat. Jeffery Arevalo. If ur not familiar it's very well done. Peace. pray but don't stop rowing

I had to look up Gilbert. And ah, I vaguely remember this guy! Looked up the tune. Yeah, not necessarily my thing but quite beautiful and well done! What band is the lead guy in?
@im-already-tired-tomorrow8 ай бұрын
Hi@@MikesMusicMethod, Goose that's the band , they posted their own. Peter + Rick listed as guitar , vocals. Mainly the lead at 2:48 plays a nice solo , and i thought 'Mike would get it in a minute'. go get it boy. peace. another one that's not up your 'alley' is Lindley's "Half A Man" , as opposed to the tallest man.

Hey man, you reckon you could take a look at I can't leave her behind by Bob Dylan? I put in a request, not sure if it went through though. Its a beautiful little piece, I think the original was played with a capo and there doesn't seem to be any concise tutorials out there w/ a capo. Anyway man, love your stuff. God bless!
@MikesMusicMethod8 ай бұрын
Jasper. Apologies if I missed the request. Did you email it? These youtube comments are not the easiest to navigate. And if I click and look at something on my phone and don't have the time to address it's not like there's a "mark as unread" button. ha. I'll check out the tune. But please follow up with an email, and consider sponsoring it, deets on my website. mikesmusicmethod.com
