i have strong feelings in support of prenups! possibly because I'm a lawyer. but prenups protect both people. and you decide what you want in a prenup while you both care about each other, while you're still in love. and prenups aren't one-size-fits all, and the act of talking through the prenup is a chance to learn a lot about your partner too. no one expects divorce to happen but its super common, and people get petty and angry, and oftentimes want to hurt each other after the fact, which can make divorces take years to finalize, whereas prenups help by already having decisions made. you guys are super fun to watch. I'm usually a lurker, not a commenter, but i just couldn't help myself with this one lol!

This is the first time I have to disagree - a prenup is never a thing of a lack of trust in a relationship. It is (imo) necessary for every relationship. You never know what happens and of course the plan is to last forever, but unfortunately many couples divorce. It helps to facilitate a peaceful divorce, especially when children are in the picture. It builds a secure foundation when people are in love and can avoid the mess that follows when people are in a more emotional state after a breakup.

Prenups are perfectly normal and important in any marriage, and you can always amend things with a post nup. Edit: since this got more attention than i expected, i want to add i am a woman who signed a prenup, however if i could change one thing I would have gotten my own legal representation to help me understand what i signed because i basically signed no-questions-asked. But i am also in a loving and committed marriage, we already bought a house together before our engagement, and we were married on our 4 year anniversary, so i had, and still have, full confidence our marriage is for life. But get your own lawyer, every party involved deserves appropriate legal counsel!

Jasmine's mom was something! That's a filipina mom for you (well, not all obv). From the moment she opened her mouth, immediately clocked it, I got so nervous. Truth be told, their mindset are hard to change. In the Philippines, it's all about college degrees, and yep they look down on people a lot- most especially these people who "got-out of the country". No one says it, but Filipinos are hella racist too even if we're brown and also the receiving end of racial discrimination. Really feel like Jasmine needs a wake up call about her mom. That relationship is not healthy. Her mom is treating her like she owns her. It was really hard to watch, especially since Jasmine seemed so oblivious and genuinely believes her mom has her best interests in mind. I'm willing to bet no man would ever be good enough, because then mom would lose her pseudo partner (daughter). I understand there's a cultural difference, but I still feel the way Jasmine is treated is unacceptable. I would never let my parent talk to my partner like that. The comment about being uneducated was insane especially when Bobby communicates perfectly. Going to college does not teach emotional intelligence.
