I think the men's reaction (or lack thereof) to Nicole accepting Sam's proposal spoke volumes about his character and how the rest of the men viewed him. For the other guys, when they came back with the happy news, there was cheering and hugs and congratulations all around. With Sam, he got a few half hearted hugs and a "Cheers mate". Then when Sam started going on and on about how happy he was, the guys went to make sure Beniah was ok. And an even bigger contrast was how the men reacted when Beniah showed up in Greece, they were all absolutely overjoyed and practically tackled him and it was so sweet to see.

I think it's also important to note that Sam's talking about Nicole initiating sex with him was his way of sexually shaming her. Nicole didn’t deny wanting to be, as Sam said, PHYSICAL with him. That can encompass a simple kiss, not necessarily full blown sex. And we know he didn’t kiss her in the reveal like all the other couples did. More importantly, Sam told Benaiah that Nicole wanted to SLEEP with him! Why didn’t he use the same word he used with Nicole? Because he wanted to hurt Ben and create controversy regarding Nicole’s honor.

I think that Sam bases his sense of self worth of based off of being romantically desired by attractive women. The more attractive the woman, the higher is self worth. When he was rejected it hurt his self worth, causing him to love bomb and act out of a place of desperation and scarcity. It gets to a point when he says "I just want to be loved" he means "I just want to be loved by a socially desirable woman." He has to talk about himself and get them to fall in love with him in order to feel worthy. What he needs is self love and therapy. Then maybe he can take accountability. Thank you Steph Anya for your content. The reality tv insight is always fun to watch and helps me be a better partner and person myself.

You bodied this. I know men like this… too many of them. Luckily, like Jasmine, I’ve grown enough to clock it and will never their their issues drag me again, but I feel like you hit the nail on the head. It was so crazy to me “people always think ‘Oh Sam, you can get any girl you want’” - that’s a wildly insecure and self-unaware statement. Confidence is quiet and personally, I know that generally speaking, I have never and probably will never have trouble finding a partner (most women won’t) but would never in a million years say that to a prospective partner. Or anyone lol it’s just obvious issue after obvious issue that he’s insecure and either being gaslit by hanging around yes-men or refuses to address reality, either way, good for Jasmine and I’ve still got mixed feelings about Nicole and her failure to see the red flags…. As much as I’d love to believe she truly learned and went to Beniah because she wanted *him*, and not as a backup plan for herself, as a fellow divorced woman, if she hasn’t learned enough to be put off the same way Jasmine was by the crazy things he said, that’s concerning.

@islabee945 ай бұрын
@@QueenyKay Yeah, Cat is awful too, and it was very annoying how she was let off the hook at the reunion. They don't say offensive things when they're nervous, what happens is that the mask slips when they think no one is looking and their true self comes to the forefront. We saw this with Cat saying Ollie wouldn't want Demi (insinuating it was because of her appearance) or with Sam saying "Yeah I told her she was the one ladida blabla that whole thing" when telling the other guys about his proposal. They are both fake, superficial and cruel, but one is a tad better at hiding it. Also the adoption thing? Clearly an excuse for Cat to get away with bullying Freddy. I loved this season too!!! But I do need to know your thoughts on the fact that at the reunion Nicole said that Sam lied about trying to sleep with him and he just passively apologized. To me it makes it even worst that he lied about that while trying to throw her under the bus 😢

So glad you're back to posting vids on LIB! 🙌🏾😁 Sam was definitely the kind of person that ruins the experiment for everyone--unhealed to the max, insecure, self-absorbed, superficial, not ready for healthy love by any means. I was relieved when Nicole came to her senses and hit bricks✌🏾.

It was so interesting to see Jasmin listening to her gut, a good think to learn I think! Also Thanks for putting into word the feelings we had watching Sam, such a cool way to better understand our own gut feeling!

Hi! Love your videos! I recently watched Unreal on Netflix-it’s a tv show about the producers of a bachelor-coded reality show. As someone that would never sit down to watch reality tv but loves your and Kennie’s video breakdowns, I would love to hear your takes on the show!

Thank you so much for breaking things down, you actually help me to repair things in my own relationship wth these analysis episodes 🙈. So, you mentioned to add an opinion in the comments about "closure". I think, perhaps, it's uncertainty. When they reach a point in their fast-tracked fantasy that is more - coming down from the clouds - realistic, they may question if they've made the right decision or not. It seems more like they want to see if that door, or window, is still open with previous connections they've made (a safety net, maybe). That's just my opinion, because I agree with you, the closure should be done and overwith in the pods. They made the decision to be ***engaged to be married*** to someone else and commit to that. I'm just not entirely sure that some individuals on the experiment are taking it very seriously, as you said it is reality so take from it what you will lol this is also why I find the show so captivating in the first place. Those couples that actually make it through everything- cameras in your private lives following you every bloody where, work, distance, temptations, planning the happiest day of their lives in one month... I find that so brave.

I love both the connections and the drama. Although, I wish we could have seen more about the other contestants, especially the friendships that sprouted in the lounges, aside from the drama

I loved the points you brought up! I picked up on those things as well. There's something about the way he presented himself on the show that to me, reminded me of Sam from The Bachelorette (Jenn's season). They hyperfocused on one element and what the women could do for them, and when confronted with the rejection, went on to say things that showcased their hurt and abandonment issues, and performative self-reflection presently. It also emphasized that they wanted love from anyone, and they didn't really know the people they had professed their "love" to. There are a lot of parallels that can be drawn from their behaviors on the show, during filming and now (during the reunions - for The Bachelorette, I'm referencing the men-tell-all episode).

I love your videos on this series. I was not going to watch the UK version because I don’t have easy access to Netflix anymore. But once I saw you post this, I found a way to watch the show and binged it JUST so I could watch your video on it 😂❤

Definitely as a whole loved this season too. Thank you for doing this! The part where she’s nodding no as she said yes was so crazy to me. Sam definitely came off insecure and like a grown 15yr trying to act like a man. We forget majority of men mature a lot later than women.

I'm in it for the love connections too. This UK season was gorgeous for the most part felt like season 1 US. I was getting Hamilton vibes throughout!

What i learned from the enchange between beniah and sam is that beniah is EXTREMLY secure. I don't think i would have reacted as well as Benniah in that situation.. I would definitely have questioned nicole on that issue.

And in the reunion it turned out the Sam lied about the whole thing. Benniah’s security is sexy, just super attractive
@nevswain4784 ай бұрын
@@cassyvjlee5925 tbh the reunion didn't show that to me. all it showed was Sam was over it and decided it would be better to take the fall than fight every detail.. i wouldn't put it past Nicole to have asked to have sex and him turn her down. That's the person she seems to be. Hence why she chose Sam.. I would never have been her second choice the way ben allowed..

Sam took this experiment as a game. I'm not even sure he was looking for love. I will make a bold statement and say he was looking for fame. Nicole said that after Benaiah spoke to her about Sam she still had doubts about his intentions so she told him she didn't wanna go to Greece but instead focus on their relationship outside of the cameras and Sam didn't take it kindly. That tells me everything I need to know about his intentions.

Love your name, it means crowned one. Great assessment of Sam. I agree. I would love for you to break down Benaiah. I think so many people run or shut down when something so great happens to them. It’s that trauma response.

I think they often need an in person conversation for closure because they just did not have enough time. Most people do not work on that short of a time line, no matter how much they want to. So these people are proposing before they’re really capable of full commitment and they’re seeing their life flash in front of their eyes at committing not because they didn’t see the person, but because they did it so darn fast. It makes sense to me. Jasmine was a rare bird who was capable of the commitment she made when she made it.

Sam seemed like a puppy who has been mistreated. Wants to be loved 😍 but really insecure about what they have to bring to the relationship. Jasmine is really cool - Bobby is her man ❤️

Ah yes, that's why he 'jokingly' called Nicole's eyes "boring brown", kept referring to himself as a "boy" and kept on going with his woe is me act.
