This is the parting scene between Mew and Tong with altered subtitles to give an alternate, happier ending to the show.

Anyways, It was a very good movie! Mother gave Tong the consent to love Mew by letting him to choose between the two dolls (boy and girl)... and Tong chose the boy doll. Mother told Tong to "Do as you please." According the letter of Tang... "It is just a matter of time".... Tong and Mew will be together... IT WAS A HAPPY ENDING GUYS!!!... YOU JUST HAVE TO DIG DEEPER..

i have been watching this movie for a long time now every night after dinner......im going to be honest that this is the first ever movie that made my cry....the song..the ending..and the story is wonderful....everytime i watch it i cry.. im so happy that this movie was created..now there is something i can watch when i want to cry out...^_^ ^_^

This ending would be the fullfilment of their love! The original ending really sucks because it leaves us to the conclusion that society rules are over love. and thats why i was very angry after that, while their story is very beautiful. im very sorry the writer didnt dare to show true love beyond limits.

Because I am afraid in most Asian Countries and especially Thailand even thou they are saying they are more open to gay people now than before, is not true. They do acknowledge the fact that gay people exist, but they do not accept them into their Society and even nowadays there's more BL series and Gay Movies from Thailand, but this is only for Business.It's just another way for them to make money because they like the idea of two young college boys falling for each other but in reality they'll never accept them because they see gay people abnormal and they do not believe in same sex love relationship and all this cause their Buddhism cultural beliefs but the funny thing is that in Thailand there's more gay people that anywhere else in the World and I wonder why?

Come to think of it, maybe Tong just said he can't be his boyfriend as a rebound because Mew didn't show up at Siam Square when they're supposed to have dinner..haha just kidding! I definitely agree with you. They're still too young to figure out and to have a relationship together, but at least Tong was confident and secure with his sexuality since his mother already respect his decision. Their love just takes time. A sequel would be GREAT! :)

I'm really glad that someone did this. Its lifting my soul. Im very very sad with the real ending, its so depressing. I'm a filipino too and watching this makes me understand, why a lot of movies end in happy endings - so the people who had watched it will be happy afterwards. This is a very good movie. I've been watching this movie many times . Im dissapointed to the ending because they were not meant to be lover atleast mew showed his feeling to tong through song. I think tong loves his bestfriend but there is somethings wrong with him that is he is scared and not ready to love his bestfriend just like what mew did to him . First is they were young . Second is tong always think about the memories of being friend with mew since they're kids . Lastly, he can't be boyfriend. It doesn't mean he don't love mew at all . He loves mew very much as friend .he don't like to ruin this kind of relationship with mew . So i hope there is season 2 with the happy ending but it won't happen at all because the movie is 13 years ago .
