Do you ever feel lonely? Pets may be one answer, but maybe you can't have pet for some reasons. There just may be some answers right here in Japan.Robots still may not be part of our daily life yet, but here in Japan it's getting quite close! One big trend going on is a real update to house robots which you can have as a pet. When you think of Japan, you may imagine little houses or little apartments and condos with not so much space, but it seems these robots are fit for those needs. Those who cannot have them in your houses, there is another option, and that is the Lovot Cafe in Kawasaki. Just right outside of Tokyo!
In this comfy cafe you can actually choose from so many types of love robot, "LOVOT" to cuddle or play with while enjoying some cafe time.
We actually found out that these robots have different personalities of their own (not all the same like the Ferbies you had in the 90s), AND they will adapt to the owners!
Thank you lovot cafe! Check them out in Kawasaki
lovotcafe.com
Those of you who wants to have them in your life, here is their page where you can see the specific prices. Additional plan with initial price 0 yen with monthly payment is also available.

she has to hug one when her soul is tired from not selling these overpriced furbys lol i also like at 5:10 the hostess hands the lovot and gazes into the reporter's eyes like she is handing her the last sentient being on the planet that could possibly/hopefully ...save us all

@@drowningin Of course they'd rather have real people. Unfortunately there are many who are abandoned by their kids. I'd like to see all facilities have live-in therapy pets, but that's not the case.

3'200 PLUS a monthly fee seems a bit much for such a simple looking robot. Sure there is also the development cost that needs to be covered but it just feels like they try to make money from lonely, desperate people.
