'Lucy Craft Laney Elementary staff thought they achieved what some deemed impossible when the Minneapolis district announced Lucy Laney was no longer on the state’s list of failing schools, where it had stood for 18 consecutive years. This was an incredible story with many going above and beyond to make this happen-Mauri the fabulous, loving, empathetic Principal, her caring and loving staff and students who had a chance and blossomed under their loving and caring philosophy!!!!! They give a hope to the HOPE of a better life for all of us if we just give it a chance-and love!
