This was my fav Lovebites song until SSS came along. Miyako's genius is on full display here, especially how she can seamlessly and intricately weave Beethoven's motifs into this masterpiece.

I currently think that "Dystopia Symphony" is Miyako's masterpiece. The majestic sense of scale, Midori's precise technique, and Haruna's dynamism...the beauty of the melody is also superb. I'm looking forward to hearing what kind of sound Fami will make in place of Miho the next time this song is played. I think this song was released in March 2021. I think "Dystopia Symphony" was the opportunity for LOVEBITES's sound to step up to the next generation. ---------- from Nippon *It is a sentence using Google translation. I hope I conveyed my intentions correctly.

This song and Paranoia, off the same EP, I consider their two deepest tracks, truly hidden gems that get very little fanfare. This song is really amazing, complex, fast, and structured so well.

They played it in 21 at Osaka. Only ever live performance. Not filmed because Tokyo Dome City Hall was instead.
@stand.and.deliver.5 Жыл бұрын
@@alekhidell I meant there exists no live recording of the song, so only the audience of this concert has seen it. Spellbound was filmed instead for Heavy Metal Never Dies.

I also think that "Paranoia" is an innovative song that will lead to the next generation of LOVEBITES sound. This song is 5 minutes and 35 seconds long. Although it is a short song for LOVEBITES, the magnificent intro of 1 minute and 30sec remains in the memory.

@AlekHidell does anyone know if Miyako played keyboards on that only live performance? It would have been awesome if she alternated between keys and guitar!

LOVEBITES - Dystopia Symphony lyrics: Like it's an end of world Making me fall apart Pushing me to the edge of the darkness Taking my breath away, and now it taking away my emotion Why was I the one He chosen Hear me cry when I'm running away from the storm It's almost right behind me The shade of moon above, wandering high in sky Following everywhere in a silence The shower of the light melting into the sleeping deep night Lost in maze, it's all I hear now Echo in my mind from far away Wish to hold it in my heart to feel the love Sadness, madness, edginess, and sense of loss Breaking through tragedy, somewhere There is much more to see beyond I stand to face bravely God, Heavenly light Shining in deep beneath Bringing a life to crystal bloom Heavenly bless Lay me in peace with this melody SOLO: midori / miyako / both Like it's an end of world Making me fall apart Pushing me to the edge of the darkness Taking my breath away, and now it taking away my emotion Why was I the one He chosen Hear me cry when I'm running away from the storm It's almost right behind me Sadness, madness, edginess, and sense of loss Breaking through tragedy, somewhere There is much more to see beyond I stand to face bravely God, Heavenly light Shining in deep beneath Bringing a life to crystal bloom Heavenly bless Lay me in peace with this melody Heavenly light Shining in deep beneath Bringing a life to crystal bloom Heavenly bless Lay me in peace with this melody ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) & Mao album: Glory, Glory To The World EP 03/10/2021

According to Midori This song is about Beethoven’s sorrow, especially the lost of his hearing! Asami said that the song has suit like image with various developments like progressive rock. Midori believes it marks the first time she has played this kind of progressive rock. Lyrics: Asami Music: Miyako Arrangement: Miyako/Mao/LOVEBITES

I think it is the best song miyako has written when she does a song with classical approach. Written during the uncertainty of the first months of pandemic with lots of people dying, with both asami and miyako expecting their first child at that time. The track seem to be a bit about that. The song is from their 2021 EP and they had a little window of opportunity at the start of 2021 to do three shows, between the covid restrictions starting to lift and before miho left the band in august'21. Dystopia Symphony was played in the first two ones, but in the third one, the one that was recorded (Heavy Metal Never Days, where you have seen Set the World on Fire for example), Dystopia Symphony was replaced in the setlist by Spellbound. Spellbound is a fun track too xD Not this good but fun. But yeah, that, the song has been done live twice but it is not recorded. PD: Call of Ktulu is one of my fav tracks ever dude XD

This song has a big Symphony-X vibe. Asami and Russ are worlds apart in the vocals department, but Miyako and Michael Romeo are on the same musical path. Go listen to the entire Symphony-X "V" album, and you will see. ( It's here on KZbin, so check it out. ) "V" was released over 20 years ago.
