There’s not thing about this that isn’t to like! Asami smashes this - not easy - and Midori and Miyako nail the guitar parts to perfection 🎸 And of course, Miho and Haruna pound the rhythm section of the song to submission. Perfect. Many have asked why there’s no live version… I think LBs realized the risk of not matching the perfection here wasn’t worth it or necessary. I think you might be right, Lovebites version here might top the original, but you have to factor in 40 odd years of studio and gear technology. No matter this is a smashing version and a track I look forward to hearing whenever it comes up in my playlist. 🤘🎸🐺

Judas Priest was my favorite band for decades until I discovered last year a group of around 5 foot tall cute Japanese ladies in white dresses and high heels pounded metal in my face and took the crown. They nailed this song, one of the all time metal classics, a perfect match of the two of my favorite bands. Speaking of Judas Priest, their last two albums are awesome. LOVEBITES and Judas Priest, bang your head! 🤘🐺🤘

Musically, this is every bit as good as the original, and in my opinion, slightly better. But to be fair, part of this would be due to the superiority of modern equipment. Vocals really come down to personal preference, but Rob Halford is deservedly recognized as one of the greatest metal vocalists of all time. Having said that, I love Asami's vocal style, and I consider her strong accent and imperfect enunciation as a feature, and not a bug.

There needs to be a hall of fame especially for bands who are privileged to have songs covered by LOVEBITES. I waited eagerly for the special edition CD because this was the top of the pile bundle bonus. I heard exactly what I expected. I expected a note for note cover, not an interpretation, and that is essentially what this is. In its own way it is as mind blowing as the original.

It's a classic Judas Priest song, but for some reason it's played in a completely ``Lovebites'' sound, which is terrifying. What's amazing about Lovebites is that the sounds of all the instruments can be heard clearly and independently without mixing or connecting each note. Moreover, it is amazing that all these instruments progress in sync without any slight deviation. Especially the drums! There is not even a moment when the sounds of feet and hands mix together!

To be honest, I never liked the original song "Pain Killer" by Judas Priest But it's very different when it's covered by Lovebites!! I much prefer the Lovebites cover of Pain Killer!! The song is much heavier, faster and more brutal!!

Musically, this is VERY similar to the original. The real difference is in the vocal delivery of Rob Halford compared to Asami.

I find it interesting because it doesn't match the tone of the original either, it almost seems like they made it different to keep the cover from sounding too much like the original, I just don't know.

This is totally fantastic. The instrumentals are just as good or better than Judas Priest. It really do not matter as both performances are out of this world. The singing is the biggest difference. Both are also out of this world. I prefer Rob, mainly because he do go lower and has a slightly more sharp and distinct and surprising high pitch. But, I mean Asami do a fantastic job. Just outstanding. I can listen to both versions and be extremely entertained.
