I saw Lovebites play live in London twice earlier this year during the European leg of their world tour that has just concluded in San Francisco marking the end of their first visit to the USA as a band. I had the privilege of getting to meet and have a brief conversation with them after the first London gig. I can tell you that as well as being outstandingly good musicians, they are stunningly beautiful, modest and seem to really appreciate and care about their fans. They are one of the 2 or 3 best bands I've had the privilege of seeing play live, a list that includes many famous well known rock and metal bands going back to the 1960's. Us watching - "No, you're not." 🤣Lovebites have kept surprising me since the first time I saw them about 3 years ago, in every performance, whether live or MV, though it's usually the live ones where I watch slack-jawed at their ridiculously skilled playing and singing. It never gets old and is always fresh and astoundingly good to listen and watch. The bassist, Miho, together with Haruna on drums, were the founders of the band but Mho decided to (quite amicably) leave to explore new things and they had to audition for a new bassist. They found Fami, who is still young enough to be in college, who had been posting insanely good videos on YT of her playing bass - but not showing her face as she was still in school. Any MV's after 2021will have her playing - and boy can she play! Another great reaction to another shining jewel from the Japanese treasure chest of 21st century Metal and Rock!

Remember, Miyako, the dark haired guitarist, was 4 or 5 months into her pregnancy! And she rocked that 2 hour concert. The audience was heavily restricted due to Covid-19 (no shouting, social distancing, just decent clapping), it was delayed for 2 months and almost a wonder, that it took place...

You're right, which ever one you pick WILL be great, lol. So good you had listen again right away. Song comes from the 3rd album, Electric Pentagram, same record as Holy War. Lyrics by Asami, music by Miyako. If you're wondering about the crowd here, this 2021 concert was done with restrictions, about 1/2 capacity and audience was only allowed to politely clap, no screaming and yelling , no jumping around, no interaction of any kind. As others have mentioned, you should check out a newer song to meet new bassist Fami, "Judgement Day" or "Stand and Deliver(Shoot 'em Down), music videos are good, and live versions from the 2023 Knockin' At Heaven's Gate concerts.

Its fast!!! 195 BPM There is a fun audio streaming video with the same song, where the ladies are having tea or something and make comments. Then Haruna write FAST! on a sign and hold it up now and then and then Asami write HIGH! on another one and hold that one up now and then. Then Miyako (the composer) holds up a sign that says SORRY! And then both Asami and Haruna make the "horns on head sign" toward Miyako. 😁

These ladies are on a level above the next level, so much talent between them it's crazy. M&M are so far ahead as a guitar duo it's seems unfair, and as for Haruna The Little Big Engine on drums, she is something special, imo, the best drummer in the world today. Asami's voice and stage presence are second to none. I both agree AND disagree with you. When you say Lovebites plays Thrash Metal BETTER than earlier bands, such as Bolt Thrower, Testament, and Overkill, as a Metal-er (NOT a 'metalhead') who first heard Heavy Metal in the mid-80's when I was in Junior High, I'd have to respectfully disagree with you on that. Don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE fan of Lovebites. Lovebites takes the foundations of Heavy Metal first heard in the early 80's, and subsequently greatly EXPANDS on the work of their predecessors. In my own personal opinion as a Metal-er (NOT a so-called 'metalhead'), Lovebites not only sets the bar as to what Heavy Metal should sound like (well, at least four of the six TRUE subcategories of Heavy Metal), Lovebites actuality ARE the bar to which ALL other Metal bands should aspire to, at least regarding four of the six TRUE subcategories of Heavy Metal. Obviously the two subcategories of Death Metal and Black Metal don't count, simply because of Asami's vocals as well as the music of the band itself. My opinion is that Lovebites are the PERFECT band to carry the torch of the four Melodic subcategories of Heavy Metal into the future, and as a Metal-er I'm PROUD to say that I'm a huge fan of Lovebites

I don't know if someone has already mentioned that the dark haired guitarist is only 5 months away from becoming a mother at the time of this concert. At the time the band was as follows :- Haruna "little BIG Engine" drums (4'9") Asami "The One & Only Voice" vocals (4'10") Midori "Crazy Shredder" guitar (4'11") Miyako "The Golden Touch" guitar/piano (5'2") Miho "Natural Born Head-Banger" bass (5'1") nicknames given by the band. In mid 2021 Miho left the band and they went on a hiatus. In 2022 Fami joined the band as their new bassist.

Good reactions but be careful with choosing anything blindly... For example, one of the good songs from Lovebites is Swan Song, but there are 2 versions... One that is not the official one and is the best and with a Chopin piano intro, and the official version, which does not have the intro and for that reason for many is of lower quality... and you will always want better quality, right? And the other thing, no matter how blindly you go, avoid at all costs anything from Bloodstock because the sound was terrible at that show.
