60過ぎの爺です。小5でグランドファンクに出会い、ユーライアヒープも好きになり、中学ではパープルも加わり、高校ではラッシュをコピーしました。マキ&ＯＺも。その後は長くラッシュ中心できましたが、ニールが逝って以来、ロスが続きました。昨秋そこにYou Tubeのおかげで、人間椅子が彗星のごとく現れ、毎日聴き、ロスは解消。それだけでも満足な所に、これまたYou TubeがLOVEBITESを知らせてくれました。多くの皆さんがコメントしてるように、ヘヴィメタルなのに涙が出てくるのです。色んな理由が挙げられますが、長くなるので割愛します。今日も朝の通勤、帰り電車、そして風呂の中でルーティーンのように聴いてますが、ふと、これはヘヴィメタルではなく、LoveMetalではないかと、思いました。だからこそ自然と涙が出てくる。自分で勝手に納得しました。 メタルも含めロック大好きで過ごして50年以上。この歳になってLOVEBITESに出会えて本当に幸せです。 勝手な独り言でした。

暫く前のランキングでHOLYWARが一位でしたけど、個人的には、LOVEBITESの何たるかを最も良く表している曲として同曲を推したいです。この場にいましたが、正直目頭が熱くなったのを覚えています。2011年にガールメタルシーンを知ってMIHOさん繋がりでLOVEBITESのデビューに立ち会うことになりましたが、これには、有無を言わさずに圧倒されたというか、畏敬の念を覚えたというか、息が詰まる緊張感を肌で感じたんですよね。LOUDPARKも全ての回に参加してそれなりに洋楽メタルを愛聴してきた身ですけど、この感じ海外の一流バンドと遜色ないんじゃないかと思ってその場で聴いていました。大げさかもしれませんけど、誰にも到達させない、触れさせないという気概を感じさせる程に圧倒的に他者を突き放す感覚に痺れてしまいました。めちゃくちゃ厳しいことを言えば、ああだこうだ言えるかもしれません。でも、もうそのあたりは些細なことだと思っていますし、とやかく言わなくても本人達の向上心がそれに甘んじることなくバンドを更に成長させていってくれるものと信じています。さあ、LOVEBITESの皆さん。世界中のファンが夢の続きを待っていますよ。最高の景色を見せてくれるという約束は守って貰わないと（笑）

前のコメントにも関連するが、mihoはasamiをボーカルに迎えてステージ衣装についてもみんなで話し合って決めたことだろう。一般的にHMのイメージからは綺麗なドレスタイプの衣装は想像しないだろう。しかし、その経緯は、探しても見当たらなかったので知っている人は教えてほしい。それとも、邪推だが旧熊然としたイメージを払拭して「新しいHMでこんなファンタジードレスもいいかも・・・」とひらめいたのだろうか？だとしたら先見の明があるのか？であれば、ずっと将来に評価されることだろう。 This is related to the previous comment, but with Asami as the vocalist, miho probably discussed and decided on the stage costumes as well. Generally speaking, you wouldn't imagine beautiful dress-type costumes from the image of HM. However, I couldn't find the details behind this, so if anyone knows, please let me know. Or did he get rid of his evil but old-fashioned image and had an epiphany that ``this kind of fantasy dress might be good for the new HM...''? If so, does he have foresight? If so, it will probably be evaluated far into the future.

いや～凄すぎますよ～ 1曲聴いただけでこんなに興奮&感動したのは何十年ぶりかな？ ちなみにこの曲が収録してあるアルバムは、曲順もエグい(笑) 1曲目コレで、2曲目がholy war、この展開だけでもオジサンは倒れてしまいそうです。(笑) あくまで個人的な意見ですが、今回の3rdアルバムは捨て曲が無いと思ってます。メタルというジャンルでの歴史に残るであろう史上最高傑作になると思いますね～。 何もかもが凄すぎて、ただのいい曲揃いのアルバムという表現すら足りないと思います。 もうこれは芸術作品です。 こんなハイクオリティ楽曲を日本人の 女性が堂々と妥協なくやってるというのが素晴らしく、誇れるバンドです。 今や自分の元気の源はLOVEBITESになってしまっています。

The music probably isn't commercial/mainstream enough for the masses. In addition to this, it seems that their record company doesn't do much to promote them outside of Japan and none of their live-DVDs/Blu-Rays has been officially released outside of Japan yet. While I don't mind paying high import prices for their DVDs (because they are definitely worth it!), not everyone can afford them. And neither "Electric Pentagram" nor "Glory, Glory, to the World" has been reviewed in one of the biggest German metal magazines, Rock Hard, and I haven't seen any advertisements for these releases in this magazine either.

女性のメタル系のバンドは、従来は、無理して男の真似をしたバンドが多かった。でも、それでは、男に敵わないね。そんなバンドは腐るほどあったし、それこそ思いっきりダサかった。弱々しい男が無理してメタルやってる、ように見えてしまう。それじゃあとても無理だ(笑)。 ファンは、メイデンやメガデス、メタリカに行っちゃうね。それにくらべて、この衣装は最高だ。男ではこの雰囲気は出せない。女性であることを最高に活かしている。才能があって、強い女性に見える。最高にカッコいい。メイデンやメガデス、メタリカには出来ない(笑)。彼女達の世界観が出ているね。彼女達はすでに充分自己プロデュースしてるはず。アイドルじゃないんだから。彼女達はもう大人です。大人の女性らしいメタルをやりたい、というのがバンド結成の動機のひとつだ。それに彼女達の一番の魅力は音楽だね。ちなみに、海外でも、この衣装はとても評判いいね。海外の女性から、プロムクイーンのような衣装が素晴らしいというファンの意見は多い。彼女達既に世界的に人気がすごくなってる。世界的に見ても歴代女性メタルバンドの中でもトップクラスだね。まだまだいくだろうね。

白いコスチュームをベースとしているのは彼女達からの提案。 従来の欧米の男性メタルバンド達が着る黒を基調とした服とは真逆で行こうと。 かと言って既に存在するアイドル的衣装でもキャバクラ的衣装でも和テイストの衣装でも無い。 独自性のあるそれらの衣装も素晴らしいと思うが 今回の衣装のデザインは天界の女神をイメージした装束のようだ。 メタルクイーンを超えてメタル神を目指しているのだろうか？ 何でもそうだが、初めて挑戦する者には色々叩く者も出て来るものだ。 いつか当時はこの衣装を批判する者も沢山いたなと思う時が来るかも知れない。 世界中から多くの本格的な女性のメタルバンドが登場する先駆けとなって欲しい。

I just received the Blu-ray of this Concert last night (7/14/23). It was delivered to the incorrect address which was not even close to my address - and 2-3 blocks away. Fortunately, for me, the person alked over and handed me the package. I owe them dearly for their honesty. I paid almost $200 which included shipping. Well worth it and just ordered Lovebites new one this morning. Blu-ray and CD. I am totally blown away and I have seen The Who, Zeppelin, Deep Purple and more in the 70s. Lovebites is in a class all by themselves.

In all my 40 plus years of listening to music these are truly the most talented group of female Metal musicians I have ever witnessed. If your Rock/Metal blood is not pumping after listening to this you need to check your pulse. Thank God for KZbin in allowing me to accidently stumble upon Shadowmaker several months ago. Band-Maid (the correct spelling BTW o' fan of the band) plays metal, sure, but the choruses fall into the Japanese pop metal vein.
