OMG IT'S PETER! Awww it's been years since I've seen him! He still looks wonderful and his voice hasn't changed a bit! I became a Noonatic (fan) from the late 90s-00s, hung out with him in his chatroom after shows and traveled all over the eastern US to see him in 15+ of his shows. When I saw Amber wearing one of Peters official shirts for "Dead Poets Society", I had to rush over to this channel to see how she got it. This is truly amazing! Thank you for letting me see him again, I loved this so much and brought back so many wonderful memories. He has always been so delightful & has a great sense of humor. I've missed it.

Peter is still a fantastic singer. His voice defies logic. My wife helped Peter sell merchandise, so I was fortunate enough to run around with Peter before and after some shows. My daughter was his equal as far as sense of humor. He was a tremendous. person who never failed to crack me up.In his mid 70's and honestly sounds as good or better than he did in his younger days, plus his band is no slouch. Peter is a true superstar.

This is actually my favorite Herman's Hermits song. I had the 45. But it was only the B-side. You definitely need to check out the A-side because that was a huge hit of theirs entitled There's a Kind of Hush.

I'm 70 and Peter Noone was my bedroom pin-up. I bought every Teen Beat magazine I could find with Herman's Hermits in it. What wonderful years and such good memories! We really had the best music then. I'm so glad younger people are listening and enjoying it. Still love you Peter!!!❤❤❤

Peter lives on Long Island. Back before 9/11 they used to have daytime concerts at the World Trade Center in summer. Usually each day of the week had a different genre (Oldies, Blues, Pop, Classical, Jazz). Most years the same guy opened and closed the summer concert series and that guy was Peter Noone. He was always great!

I will never forget seeing Peter and HH performing at Expo '86 in Vancouver in an outdoor ampitheatre. "There's a Kind of Hush" had everybody inside and outside the theatre singing along. Magical moment.

The flip side of this record is "There's a Kind of Hush" which I will always love and on the album of the same name, Peter Noone did great renditions of "Jezebel" and "End of the World." I also loved a song on that album titled "East West." Cannot leave out "Silhouettes" and "I Can Take or Leave Your Lovin" as two other favorites.

Have such happy childhood memories of Herman's Hermit songs. This is such a pretty song with the minor key, sounds like a traditional ballad and one of my favorites, glad to see it is one of Peter's top picks! I met Peter Noone in 2000 while on a Caribbean cruise. I was completely tongue-tied and shy when I met him in person for an autograph along with a bunch of other cruise guests who had queued up. I was very star struck and awkward! Peter was so kind and gracious, I"m sure he'd seen so many like me and knew how to handle it and make me feel at ease. I will never forget that!

My ex and I caught Peter Noone live about 15 or so years ago at our relatively small city in Michigan. He performed a lot of the Herman's Hermits songs with a band. It was a great and fun performance and Peter was full of energy. So cool that he is still so active.

This was one of my favorite songs in high school in 1979. My fourth grade teacher had a music hour once a week and he would play his stuff and would preview our records and would play them the next week if they passed. HH was the only record he played all year.

That was interesting to learn about John Paul Jones' role in the making of this song. I've always known it as one of the many great songs written by Graham Gouldman, one of the founding members of the band, 10cc. And I just looked it up, but Gouldman did grow up near Manchester.

I don't know when that actually was, but there was some news report saying that there would be 'no more milk today', as Peter Noone, the singer of Herman's Hermits had died! And that was several years ago! Am I ever happy to have been lead astray for so many years (yes, Wikipedia confirmed it for me, he's not listed as dead yet...) ;P It may have been the before mentioned song, or that English king, or Mrs Brown's lovely daughter, the kind of Hush surrounding it, or even the End of the World, unless he's onto something good... But if you, like me, love this kind of 60's pop, try out The Monkees' Daydream Believer or (especially!) Daydream Believer! Lovely reaction video, though! Still, 1966, the year before I was born. My mother liked the Kinks, she hated the very looks of their guitarist, Dave Davies. I loved his (first?) solo album from the late 70's... I think we both love Tom Jones from the 60's and 70's... Hmm, have you chanced to react to Tom Jones' 'Delilah'? That one could NEVER have been recorded and released today!!! I love it (and hate it...)!

Composed by Graham Gouldman, later of 10 CC ( of the immortal "I'm Not In Love" ). The song was offered first to The Hollies who did Gouldman's song "Bus Stop", but they declined. Gouldman also wrote "For Your Love", a big hit for The Yardbirds.

Just wanted to mention, that the song was written by Graham Goldman from 10CC, from an interview with him, he said the idea came from his father. He had visited some friends and next door there was a message in an empty milk bottle(glass) saying 'No milk today' Graham wrote a lot of songs for 10CC band

These are great videos. I can remember being VERY young in the 60s. IMO, the Beatles were music gods, existing above everyone else, then there was Herman's Hermits and Peter. Peter was always relatable, and accessible, even for a child in midwest. Always seemed like such a wonderful guy.

We used to hang out at 'the lake' in the summer during the 1960s. Herman's Hermits/Peter N. were always on the AM radio that we listened to. (KJR Seattle) They made a summer day at the lake even better. Peter N. and H.H.s were an important part of the soundtrack of my teen years, especially 9th and 10th grade.
