In today's lesson, we are looking at 12 alternative phrases to express your wants and needs. It's particularly important in you are requesting something, as 'want' can sound rather rude! Also, when you want to express your desires, using some of these alternative phrases will halp broaden your vocabulary and sound a little more natural and native. I'm sure you'd all like that! ;-)

I could really do with a cold coffee.. -I could really do with a holiday. -you could really do with a break. 2. I feel like a burger. -I feel like a nap. -What do you feel like today? 3. Originally I was born & grew up in the " far east" in the late 40's. Also, in school ,I have learned well from my elementary level of education up to my degree education.Besides,In school,too, we were under American colinization in the year 1906( better known as Insular Teachers) who have taught us in school English the Second Language ( official language). Auxilliary verb " want" is used in the sentence by first person & correctly universally accepted for how many decades have gone already. You should that noun( parts of speech has its own verb agreement to be used...

When I saw this lesson, I remembered my high school teacher who was always speaking to us that the verb ''want'' is overuse and to try to replace it always as much as possible!
