i rly am hesitant to get one, since I got bored pretty fast of the pix, I often forgot it home, it was pretty chunky as well, but I might give this one a try. the wifi option and the fact that you can charge with a cable is an amazing plus !

I had the same fear so I asked for it for Christmas so technically I didn’t buy it and I’ve had it for months not even realizing that you could decorate and customize the room or play games on it and I still really enjoyed it!

Something to note about the charging cable, on the smart (not sure if it's the same with the uni) you have to use the cable that comes with it because it only takes a certain level of charge and standard cables can fry the circuits. I heard a lot from others with the smart who used a different cable, or even the cable through a wall port (you're supposed to use a laptop) so until it's known for sure with the uni I'd recommend being safe and using the cable it comes with

I got the pix last year and I just got the uni yesterday at target, Walmart did not have it in store…. So worth it because it has real buttons! Im 28 and I loved tamagotchis growing up and wanted my daughter to get into and now she is four and I found out she has a hard time with the pix not having real buttons… she loves the uni! And the watch fits me and my daughter I’m so happy

I always love your tamagotchi videos! I was considering the Uni, but then I figured that the Smart will probably be discontinued soon so I splurged on that instead (before the terrible resale prices get to it). Planning on waiting a few months at least to save up and see if another shell comes out. I hadn't watched many reviews yet though, and I didn't realize this version was so fun, so great job on the video!!

I was in love with the original Tamagotchi when they first came out in the 90's. I decided to search them up in my 20's and saw Japan had the Color + and freaked out. Got one on EBay for $80. Then forgot again until recently. Saw the ON/Meets. Ordered one and was addicted!😅 I was a little late so they were pretty pricey. Got all the American ones at normal prices. Ordered one Mix. Found a Sweets Meets for about $60, which I saw was around $300 now. Got lucky and found a new Sanrio one with a lanyard for $88. Then had to have the Fantasy Meets which I found for $250 at the cheapest then. Now I see it for $1000 or more😬. I LOVED the mixing feature which I think was a big seller on them. Just ordered a Uni that's coming tomorrow. Hopeful it will be entertaining.😸 Thanks for the vid!

I also live in Canada... I had a Tamagotchi Pix, and it required you to connect it to an iPad, and some of you don't know out there, that you need to pay for the micro transactions... IT'S SO ANNOYING!!! But anyhow, it's a good Tamagotchi... I don't know how the Uni compares to the Pix, but it's a good Tamagotchi... Anyhow, I'm subbed to you, I love your videos... They're awesome

Just got an original tamagotchi for the nostalgia and am just now discovering how much the new ones have changed! Tbh having a tamagotchi post on their social media is a bit ick for me, but that’s probably because I view them as a return to simpler 90’s/2000’s games. These new ones seem cool, since the old ones get old fast. Do you think I’d still enjoy the modern ones with the new features if I like them for the nostalgic vibe?

Yes probably the new UNI of the modern tamas is the best mix of old and new imo. It’s got all the new tech going back to the decent 3 button system. Only thing I don’t like is the shells they tend to be a bit boring bland and feminine on the new ones and that’s your only choice. I did buy an all black silicone cover though to fix that.

I've always wanted a color-screen Tamagotchi ever since I was basically the only person in school who never had one, and ever since the ID L came out (Which is extremely rare to find an English localization since they were released in Hong Kong and only 1 store in England at the time) I've always wanted to get my hands on a color-screen one! Though to be fair I don't like the faceplate design but thankfully it's ezpz to change it out with a suction cup. I still regret not getting the Wonder Garden On when that was still out orz

im very much into the older tamagotchis for the nostalgia factor so i'm just starting to look into these colored ones and i'm a bit underwhelmed/shocked by the UI (the menu/ on-screen buttons) i get they have to make it simple for a small screen, but it looks super outdated, also the shell isnt that cute. but i will probably wind up getting one to try and se ehow i like the actual gameplay.

I just bought what I thought was the purple one but it seems to be Halloween themed. I didn’t notice until I got home. I was overjoyed because I love Halloween. But I know nothing about this tamagotchi. The instructions spook me with the electric shock possibility and the mist keep it away from moisture heat and cold. And it’s picky about how you charge it. I want to use my Apple charger block to charge it but it wants me to use a laptop 😢
