We really do everything for our animals. I don't know where you find all this energy. When I steam clean my prairie dogs place once a week, it's almost 4 hours. A little more time because with the rut, I separated a young male and his female in another big place. It's so nice to see them happy after that. I imagine with your many cages the time spent to clean.

@@Loveofpets I noticed his perching posture was off, sleeping more than usual , feathers puffed up when perching and his feet were cooler than usual. Other than that, he was flying, eating, drinking and being on us , doing everything normally. The third day he was so weak, he couldn’t hold up his head and went to the bottom of the cage and that was it. We were so broken with our human feelings that I didn’t even think about the rest of the flock until that first morning with one less bird. Mango & Rainbow were chirping and looking for him. For a few days Mango was doing that in the morning and putting his favorite toy in the spot where Blueberry’s cage would be in the day time. They were a flock and they too are missing him. Mango and Blueberry were blood brothers and may be from the same clutch. I think you know their story about being separately shortly after birth because each was brought by a different owner. I am Blueberry’s second owner. Blueberry was very social and preferred human companionship over toys. Yes, he was so humanized because of this bond. We miss him dearly. Even my husband was affected because this was truly his very first pet ( had a goldfish in his childhood but socialization isn’t the same)and Blueberry was especially attached to my husband.
