The 80's ruled by far. You had rock, new wave, punk, rap and more all female bands or bands with women lead singers in them than any other decade and let's not forget female solo artists and the birth of music videos.

One of the best concerts ever: Loverboy, when this album came out, warmed up for Journey, when their Escape album came out. Los Angeles Forum. When Loverboy was done, I was exhausted: they had the entire place pumped up, it was unbelievable. Then when Journey came out, even the band was in disbelief at how pumped the crowd was.

Yeah, this was before the days of American Idol... Where bands had to play every dive and claw their way to the top. But, when they got there, they had all original music with the story and the whole package for sale, and ready to enjoy. Now, you got a bunch of kids wanting to take the short cut, and give you a song or two, and they're down the road, jack.. lol.

holy fuck thats some truth right there.

Dear God,,,,, Thank you, for letting me be a teenager in the 80's. I got to experience the real deal! And for that.... I owe you....BIG TIME!!! (Peter Gabriel) Oops..Sorry! I couldn't help it. lol.

100% the truth right there! Man, such great music back then compared to the garbage today, and Loverboy was right to the top. Great thing about this clip, they are playing live, none of that lip syncing Crap!

My hubby was at that gig. I stole the tshirt when I met him in 1988 and I still have it. 2014 I got it signed on my 3rd time seeing them live myself (2009 in Prince George, 2010 at the PNE. and 2014 at the Telkwa BBQ in Smithers where I stayed in the same hotel ! so I can say I slept under the same roof)

Pretty awesome. More recent clips I've seen have them tuning the song down 1/2 step. Does anyone recall when they started doing that?
@TheMadmetfan8 жыл бұрын
a half step is very little much easier to sing for a 60 yr old man
@jeffreyspragg89645 жыл бұрын
