The thing you are wondering about is a spinning wheel. You use it for spinning yarn and thread 😊

Technically 'a walking wheel'. One stood and walked back and forth to alternately spin and then wind onto the bobbin.

Hello from Saudi Arabia! Thank you for doing your research on the history of these abandoned properties. It’s heartbreaking to see these houses slowly deteriorating, longing for the love and life that used to call this place home. Also congratulations on your engagement!🎉
@Sherrylee47853 ай бұрын
This one has been my favorite so far. You could see all the love in this house. It's a mystery why it's been abandoned but most likely the cost of all the maintenance it needed. But why they left everything is also a mystery. Thanks bigbankz for showing this beautiful mansion.

You would think that they would sell some of the antique furniture and other stuff to get money for repairs. Looks like they were hoarders.
@suzannebond64243 ай бұрын
I think they died. Not that they just took off somewhere else. Maybe they don't have any descendants.

There was a wheelchair and they were smokers. I would guess they both passed away. They didn't move and leave everything.

They must have passed away and had no immediate family to take care of their belongings or to discard them. Or existing family members did not want the task of doing it. There is history to especially that top floor with the calendar from 1967 and the trunks and sewing machines, not to mention the old furniture. Too bad that wasn't sold as an estate sale, to have an interested party to clean and restore that furniture and possibly re-sell it. Just so sad this one. Please continue to do these videos Mr. Banks. These houses 🏠stories need to be told and treated with the due respect they are owed them. And you indeed do just that and more. May our dear Lord and Savior bless your upcoming marriage. Patience and virtue will guide and direct your marriage, always. Amen. +

My mom and I have been watching your series for a few months. I think we have watched every episode. We were without power for almost 11 days in Georgia after hurricane Helene. It was so hard to hang on to hope that we would ever receive lights and normalcy again but one thing that kept giving us hope was the day we would be able to watch Big Banks again. We got power back today and there is a new episode! Thank you! God bless!

Hi Bangz! Wasn't able to really see what the ceiling and walls we're made of but in the older homes they often plaster. In saying this, I lived in one that was over 100 years old. Typically you'd hang your pictures by cords or wire from the crown moulding so as to not destroy your walls. Love watching your videos. You've always done a great job. Have watched you for years. Blessings on your engagement. God bless.,👃
