Today my friend and I discover an abandoned house shrouded by mystery. A family of 4 lived in this home until around the year 2000. But for reasons unknown they seemed to have left leaving their entire life behind.

Prayers sent for your son and you and your fiance as you learn to manage his health problems. So sorry to hear that. I am from S.Dakota and my thoughts on the house because of the things left behind makes me assume that an elderly woman lived there on her own in the last years of her life..The pictures were of her kids and grandkids. They may have lived too far away to take all of the things left behind, but because of the spots.on the walls that showed there was once something hanging there they probably packed up what they could.

Myrtle Beach here. My son's brother-in-law and his wife have twin boys, one of whom has Duchene. These parents are active in promoting their son's strengths and strengthening his weaknesses, as most parents strive to do with their children anyway. With a Duchene child their efforts are a bit more intense as they help their son navigate his world. Prayers and best wishes to you and your family. ❤

This house screams sadness and despair! When you go through these abandoned places, it must be so hard not to know the full story where everyone went and why. The first bedroom was I’m pretty sure a double bed, smaller than a Queen sized. You were right, the big thing on the dresser is simply a hair dryer. All the salons used to have them when I was a kid. I’m 70. That Icy Hot in the bathroom looked too old to have any expiry date. Also when I was a child there were no expiry dates at all. I am so sorry your son has this disease. So sorry to hear about your son. We found out my grandaughter has JDM (dermatomyositis) at 5 years old. It is a rare autoimmune disorder were she has to get transfusions once a month for the rest of her life, and also takes multiple medications and physical therapy to help keep her muscles in the best shape as possible. God bless these two children and will keep your son in my prayers!!

I hope your son continues to be good and healthy! I'm so sorry for what he and you guys are going through. When my brother was 2 he was diagnosed with Lymphoblastic leukemia. It was really hard seeing him that young and be sick. I helped my mom watch my sister when she and my brother were in the hospital. I know I left a comment on one of your other videos telling you that my cousin had muscular dystrophy. I don't know what kind it was though. I wonder what the neighbors think of this home (if there are any close by.) There has to be someone who drives by and wonders. I'm amazed that it hasn't been vandalized - happy it hasn't though.

It's not always sinister. People get sick and put into nursing homes, and then pass away. The remaining family either can't afford the upkeep on the house or perhaps get behind in taxes or something like that, so they just leave it. It's still sad either way, but not every abandoned house; I'd actually say most of them, aren't abandoned because the family just vanished into thin air and are missing persons.
