I agree. I don’t think poking fun or teasing is good for a relationship. It feels more like a friend thing than a romantic partner thing to me. Plus, it can spiral out of control in the long run, and become a difficult habit to break. I’m sure it’s fine for some people, but I don’t like it for my relationships. I guess it has to be done in the right way and not get too personal or offensive, which can be a fine line after you’ve been with someone for a long time.

I think if they make jokes to make you laugh like pulling your leg/made you look type jokes it’s probably not a big deal (had a guy do this recently). When the “joke” is an insult about you steer clear. However after my experience with a “playful” narcissist for many years I’m leary of playful “funny” guys in general. When I was younger I liked guys that made me laugh. Married one and he became my biggest nightmare and turned out to not be cheerful and funny AT ALL behind closed doors. The exact opposite. I deal with number 7 all the time. Even with online dating. The guys want to meet me but often don't have the courage to finally ask to meet me. Then I have to be the one to call them back for a second date. But the third date I can be hands off and they start taking more initiative. Hi! I need advice. I've just met a guy who is 2 years younger than me and is extremely shy. We just started working together and since neither of us is very social, we ended up spending a lot of time together after work on weekends. I have a partner that I love very much. What about when his attraction communication involves some nice things get to know him he seemed heart centered) now everyday I have to learn how to navigate his humour( which he's used to picking on people apparently so of course it's jokes feel targeted at my expense and make me feel uncomfortable and stupid for opening my mouth to actually talk . He says he really likes me and that he's shy.. but when we're together all we do is sit in his car and have coffee... I'll go to his friends house and watch him and up drunk and high...
